Mandala Making Workshop

Join Spira in accessing higher states of awareness through mindfulness-based art workshops. Absolutely no experience is necessary. In fact, if you think you can’t draw but would love to create something beautiful that comes from your heart, these workshops are definitely for you. Each workshop begins with introductions, instruction on how to using the materials, at least one specific art skill, followed by a short guided meditation and time to create your project. This workshop will be an Introduction to Mandala making. We will be using colored pencils on black paper and you will learn the technique of creating depth using value. Prenatal Yoga 6-Week Series

Prenatal yoga with Tonya is a well-rounded mindful practice to help you ease into your changing body and prepare for labor and delivery. As a Birth Doula and mindfulness teacher, Tonya‘s class goes beyond prenatal exercise to incorporate breath awareness and deep relaxation techniques as well as traditional postures with modifications for pregnancy. You will also learn how you can modify postures to attend any class and keep you and your baby healthy and safe!

Mindful Movement for Runners and Endurance Athletes

Led by Deirdre – Personal Trainer, Runner, Yoga &amp; Pilates Teacher This special workshop is designed for runners and endurance athletes who want to move better, recover faster, and feel more grounded. 45 minutes of mindful movement blending Pilates and yoga to build body awareness, stability, and mobility. 30 minutes of restorative yoga to release tension and support recovery with simple poses you can take into daily life. Stay after for hydrating mocktails and light snacks

Vinyasa and Vibrations Yoga Workshop

A 90 minute experience designed to realign the mind, body, and soul. Usher in the changing of seasons with Loula as she guides you through a sequence of postures, breath work, meditation, and sound healing.&nbsp; This creative yoga flow, based on Ayurvedic principles of aligning with the elements of nature, will last 60 minutes. The class will end with restorative postures and a long savasana accompanied by the sounds of Himalayan and Crystal singing bowls. Hands on assists and reiki will be provided. Allow yourself to transition through this seasonal shift with grace and ease utilizing Ayurveda’s ancient wisdom.&nbsp; 90 minutes of shedding layers, finding clarity, and ground into the earth and water&nbsp;elements. As we shift into fall and winter, the air and ether elements increase giving rise to excess vata dosha in the mind, body, and spirit. This can cause fatigue but the inability to sleep, increase in anxiety, and overall feelings of being untethered. This class will appease the craving for grounding and deep nourishment.&nbsp; Loula will lead you through an Ayurvedic based Vinyasa flow designed to tether while uplifting you amidst the chaos of Fall’s swirly energy. This steady, warming, fluid flow will be followed by restorative postures to reset and calm the nervous system. Hands on assists and reiki will be provided. All of this followed by a sound bath soaked savasana for the ultimate relaxation experience. TRE-Tension and Trauma Release

Tension &amp; Trauma Release Exercises (or TRE®) is a simple yet innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance. Join me in learning this wonderful technique for releasing chronic stress and tension and ending chronic pain. I use this modality regularly and it's improved my quality of life tremendously. Prenatal Partner Yoga for Labor and Delivery

Join yoga teacher and birth doula Tonya for an empowering and educational birth preparation class. Partner yoga for labor and delivery is an informative class, whether you plan a medicated or unmedicated birth. You and your partner will learn postures, movements, and mindfulness practices to prepare your body for birthing your baby. This is a wonderful class to bond with your partner or birthing support person. PRIDE Cannabliss Restorative yoga and Soundbath

Join Spira for this great cannabis-friendly workshop for the LGBTQIA+ community! Spira has been a proponent of plant medicines for decades. Cannabis can be very helpful for trauma symptoms like anxiety and comorbidities such as ADHD. When used with intention and in the right setting, it can help with focus, increase mindfulness and interoception, and allow the user to find deep relaxation and nervous system regulation. This, combined with Crystal Singing Bowls will provide you with blissful rest while the frequencies provide healing benefits. We will begin with very gentle stretching on the mat to relieve any tightness in the body before relaxing into restorative poses and beginning the sound bath. We will provide 5mg gummies (your choice of THC or CBD) as a gift as no smoking is allowed indoors. However, feel free to vape or smoke before coming. Kirtan and Yoga Nidra

Open the heart and relax the body! Come experience the calming and purifying practice of Kirtan using breath, song, and rhythm. Kirtan is a meditative practice of devotion. While this is traditionally a Hindu practice, you do not have to be Hindu to benefit from repeating the sounds through rhythmic call and response chanting. And you do not have to be a trained singer, either! Chanting has many health benefits like Nervous System regulation and will leave you with a feeling of joy. Our Kirtan practice will be followed by yoga Nidra or the yogic sleep. Through this deep relaxation your nervous system can experience a reset. Yoga Nidra can improve sleep, digestion and immunity. Bilateral Drawing for Emotional Processing

Bilateral drawing, a technique used in art therapy and trauma recovery, involves using both hands simultaneously to make marks, engaging both brain hemispheres and promoting self-regulation and grounding. It's believed that engaging both hands simultaneously stimulates both hemispheres of the brain, which can help to reconnect "thinking" and "feeling" and promote self-regulation. Join Spira in learning this amazing technique that will help you process emotions and release distressing thoughts and feelings. You will feel relaxed, calm, and centered after this workshop. Come and play with Deirdre! After a nice warm up, we'll spend time exploring the mechanics of arm balance poses which include preparatory poses for strengthening and how to find balance in each pose.
