The Embody School

Baby and Me Postpartum Yoga

Join Yoga Teacher and Postpartum Doula Tonya for Baby and Me Postpartum Yoga. This is mindfulness-based practice designed for the specific needs of birthing parents and their infants and invites reconnecting with your changing physical body and emotional needs after child birth. Learn safe and effective movements to re-engage core muscles, gently stretch and strengthen the body and learn how to do it all with a new baby...and meet other new parents in the area! It's a come as you are party, so we will practice leaving our judgments at the door and being present to what is! This class is appropriate for 4-6 weeks postpartum or as approved by your doctor and up to actively crawling baby. Adoptive families welcome.

CannaBliss Restorative Yoga with Soundbath and Reiki

Join Spira and Malaika for this great cannabis-friendly workshop! Spira has been a proponent of plant medicines for decades. Cannabis can be very helpful for trauma symptoms like anxiety and comorbidities such as ADHD. When used with intention and in the right setting, it can help with focus, increase mindfulness and interoception, and allow the user to find deep relaxation and nervous system regulation. This, combined with Crystal Singing Bowls will provide you with blissful rest while the frequencies provide healing benefits. We will begin with very gentle stretching on the mat to relieve any tightness in the body before relaxing into restorative poses and beginning the sound bath. As a bonus, we'll be delivering Reiki energy through the crystal singing bowls as well as hands-on. We will provide 5mg gummies (your choice of THC or CBD) as a gift as no smoking is allowed indoors. However, feel free to vape or smoke before coming. You can always save the gummy for later. And you don't have to use cannabis to participate! Sober practice is always welcomed. **Please be mindful of how much you consume. A small amount can be very helpful but too much can cause discomfort. If you vape or smoke, 2-3 puffs is plenty. *Cancellations for workshops up to 48 hours before the event will result in a credit to your account, not a refund. No cancellations allowed within 48 hours of the event.

Mindful Movement for Runners and Endurance Athletes

Learn how mindful movement can improve recovery, support injury prevention, and help you train harder without living in a constant state of tension. Designed specifically for runners and endurance athletes, this yoga-based workshop focuses on mobility, recovery, breath, nervous system regulation, and mindful movement patterns that support both performance and longevity. Expect a slower, intentional practice that targets commonly overworked areas like the hips, hamstrings, calves, feet, and shoulders while helping calm the “always go” mentality many athletes carry off the trail or pavement. This is not a power yoga class or a workout. It’s a space to reconnect with your body, improve recovery, reduce stress, and build resilience from the inside out. Perfect for: Runners of all levels Cyclists, triathletes, hikers, and endurance athletes Anyone feeling tight, depleted, overstimulated, or stuck in push mode No yoga experience needed. *Members get 10% off of all workshops. *Cancellations for workshops up to 48 hours before the event will result in a credit to your account, not a refund. Intro to TRE Tension and Trauma Release

Join us to learn TRE. Tension & Trauma Release Exercises Tension & Trauma Release Exercises (or TRE®) is a simple yet innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. Created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD, TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance. TRE has been a game changer in my trauma healing. Neurogenic tremoring helps to release stored tension in the body from the psoas muscle. It stimulates the vagus nerve, activating the parasympathetic nervous system and allows the body to repair neural connections. This is a built in mechanism we all have. Animals have it. We have it. We just have to re-learn it. I can show you how to “shake it off”. Learn more here https://treglobal.org/what-is-tre/ *Cancellations for workshops up to 48 hours before the event will result in a credit to your account, not a refund. According to Science Direct, studies have shown that singing bowl sound meditation can produce physiological and psychological responses, reducing negative affect and increasing positive affect, as well as improving blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory rate. Bring a mat and water bottle. Stay for tea afterwards if you'd like. *Cancellations for workshops up to 48 hours before the event will result in a credit to your account, not a refund. No cancellations allowed within 48 hours of the event.
