Candle Making + Exploring the SoWa Open Market

In this workshop, you'll create your own 100% soy wax candle and learn about fragrance blending and the candle making process. All of our fragrances are phthalate and paraben free, making them the cleanest oil to breathe in. You'll get to choose from over 30 fragrance oils to create your own customized blend. While you're waiting for your candle to cure (about 30 min to 1 hr), you can explore the SoWa Open Market, located just around the corner from our shop. The SoWa Open Market is one of the largest open air farmer and artist markets in Boston. It has a variety of food and beverage trucks, live music and an indoor vintage market. After your adventures, pop back in the shop to add your personalized label and decals and take your candle home!

Saturday Evening Mosaic Coaster Workshop

In this workshop, you'll design your own unique pair of mosaic coasters. We'll be using wooden coaster bases in various shapes and glass mosaic tiles and beads. Create your own geometric or floral designs or use one of our templates for guidance. Later on, you'll finish your pieces using grout to fill in any gaps and seal it to make your creations stain and water resistant. This workshop is beginner friendly. Available for all ages, however, children under 8 years may need help from an adult with the grouting and sealing process.&nbsp;

Create Turkish Lamps: Reverse Glass Painting & Mosaic Design

Turkish lamps symbolize opulence, warmth, and hospitality, featuring intricate, hand-cut glass and geometric or floral patterns.&nbsp; In this workshop, you’ll make your own Turkish lamp by experimenting with reverse glass painting using vibrant alcohol inks. Afterwards you'll add tile accents by creating geometric and floral mosaic designs using hand cut glass. Each lamp will be fully functional and one of a kind. This workshop is beginner friendly so no experience is necessary.

Botanical Soy Candle Making & Trivia 

Join Alyssa Russo, founder of Wyllo for an evening of candle making. This workshop is perfect for beginners. In this class, you’ll create your own 100% soy wax candle and learn about fragrance blending and the the candle making process. You'll get to take your candle home at the end of the evening and while the candles are curing, we'll play candle trivia (with prizes!) and customize your candle jar with various labels and botanical decals to make a truly one of a kind product.
