The Open Circuit

With so much talent in the Boston area, it’s important to provide the opportunity and space to collaborate and showcase! Thus we are happy to present, The Open Circuit! In this recurring monthly event, we open up in partnership with a growing group of rotating Foundational Artists that will help generate a powerful &amp; entertaining schedule. On the last Thursday of each month, we invite all talents far and wide to join our Artists’ group schedule; musical acts, dancing, poetry, freestyle &amp; improv of any kind, magic acts, circus &amp; specialty acts, perhaps even a show &amp; tell of physical artwork or crafts. <a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfilUWmnlztIqAiCVpOMmfhfdVU3jz6spriZA_OHKZXa-wd2g/viewform?usp=header">Sign ups welcome in advance</a> or on the spot! St. Patrick's Day Edition This new event will blend not only trivia question &amp; answer formats, but will demand that you have a well rounded team to take on whatever your hosts can conjure up for each episode. Puzzles, brain teasers, physical challenges, individual &amp; team speed rounds. Nothing is off the table so be ready to bring it on! This is free to play and there is a maximum 4 people per team. RCS Retro Game Night

This crew is passionate about creating a fun atmosphere with games ranging several decades. Whether you want to have fun with a partner, get rowdy with your gaming group, or even participate in their in-house tournaments we have the thrills and drink chills for you. There will be board games as well as modern and vintage video games. Table Top Games will be joining RCS, bringing engaging option such as D&amp;D and new one-off Role Playing game experiences! Open to all ages (Family Friendly) from 4 - 7 PM FREE to the public!

Swing in the Square

Offering up FREE dance workshops throughout the month of May! We will focus on swing era styles like Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing &amp; West Coast Swing in a guided 1 hr+ group workshop followed by open social practice with an instructor giving more one on one attention for questions. There will be audio speakers, curated DJ music, and a 300 sq ft. dance floor brought into the plaza to help channel all your groovy vibes from vintage to new school! Come enjoy the season and energize the square!

Lindy Roots: Savoy Ballroom 100th Anniversary!

March 12th is the 100th Anniversary of the Savoy Ballroom, birthplace of the Lindy Hop and the cultural heart of the Harlem Renaissance. To celebrate, we’re partnering with the Substation in Roslindale to throw a big swing dance party! We’ll be bringing in a portable wooden dance floor especially for this event. Dance to live music from the Lindy Roots house band, Josh &amp; the Wittness Newbies and inexperienced dancers welcome! Vintage attire highly encouraged!
