Women's Fly Casting Clinic

Welcome to the 2026 Greater Boston Trout Unlimited Women's Fly Casting Clinic on Saturday, June 13th (9am-12pm) in <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/15Bh3DL_wW2_P-1SlgQ0UtDpFrr2-9YKs/view?usp=sharing">Herter Park along the Charles River</a> in Boston. This free and open to the public event is designed to introduce women of all skill levels to the art of fly casting. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this Saturday morning clinic aims to introduce beginners to a new passion, enhance your fly fishing abilities and foster a supportive community of women anglers.   Join us for a morning filled with education and camaraderie as we delve into the captivating world of fly fishing. Our Women's Fly Casting Clinic offers a safe and encouraging environment where you can learn and develop the fundamental skills necessary for successful fly casting.   At the clinic, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced female instructors, like Cynthia Harkness of Fearless Fly Fishing, who are passionate about sharing their knowledge, getting women engaged on the waters and helping you learn. They will guide you through each step of the casting process, focusing on proper techniques, body mechanics, and the nuances of different casting styles.   In addition to the instructional demonstrations, the clinic will provide ample opportunities for hands-on practice, and Q&amp;A. You'll have the chance to connect with fellow participants, share experiences, and hopefully build lasting friendships with like-minded women who share an interest in fly fishing.   By the end of the morning clinic, you will have gained some confidence in your casting abilities and acquired the fundamental skills necessary to enjoy the rewarding sport of fly fishing along with information on additional resources to engage in the community. Whether you plan to fish in rivers, lakes, or saltwater environments, this clinic will equip you with the foundation to pursue your angling adventures with proficiency and joy.   Come join us at our Women's Fly Casting Clinic and embark on an exciting journey of learning, empowerment, and connection in the world of fly fishing! Featuring stunning cinematography, compelling narratives, and adrenaline-filled moments on the water, the 20th Annual F3T is a tribute to the spirit of adventure and the enduring fly fishing culture that has grown with the tour over the past twenty years. 2025 Fly Fishing Film Tour

The 19th annual <a href="https://gbtu.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8b7026739e580ac643aaa1f4b&amp;id=bc4c160595&amp;e=aeecb965d2">Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T)</a> is coming to the Somerville Theater on April 12, hosted by GBTU. There will be 10 curated fly fishing films from around the world to get you ready for the upcoming fly fishing season. This year’s event promises to be the best yet, with a diverse lineup of films that highlight remote locations, unique challenges, and the passionate anglers who pursue them. You can view the <a href="https://gbtu.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8b7026739e580ac643aaa1f4b&amp;id=d8b1fdad9e&amp;e=aeecb965d2">preview here.</a> We will be giving away over $2,000 worth of door prizes and you have a chance to win one of the national tour prizes that include a <a href="https://gbtu.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8b7026739e580ac643aaa1f4b&amp;id=4719b952de&amp;e=aeecb965d2">Steelhead Fishing Alaska Trip</a>. Admission is $20 for adults online ($25 at the door), $15 for Veterans and First Responders, $10 for kids thirteen and over and free for kids under thirteen. Kids entry tickets include a complimentary TU membership that will be available at the door. Doors open at 1:30 PM and the film starts at 2:00 PM. The Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) is the original and largest fly fishing film event of its kind. Now in its 19th year, F3T has become a beloved annual tradition for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts nationwide. The event provides an opportunity for the fly fishing community to come together, share stories, and experience the best of the sport’s cinematic world. Along with the films, attendees can look forward to exclusive giveaways, special guests, and plenty of camaraderie.
