PAGU: Mid-Autumn Fest Lion Dance Brunch

The Lion Dance will occur promptly at 1:00pm and run for approximately 20 minutes. Each ticket guarantees a seat for one adult. We will be offering a family style menu including items like steamed fish, roasted pork belly baos, and mooncakes. If your group books separately please call the restaurant in advance to guarantee a table all together. About The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is a vibrant and cherished celebration in many East Asian cultures, particularly in China, Vietnam, and Korea. It takes place on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar, which usually falls in late September or early October. At its heart, the festival is a time to honor the harvest and celebrate the full moon, a symbol of unity and prosperity. Traditionally, families gather to appreciate the moon’s beauty, share festive foods, and enjoy each other's company. Come dine with us at Pagu and celebrate early Autumn with holiday specials like lotus leaf sticky rice, roasted pork belly baos, mooncakes and more! Rich Shih, co-author of Koji Alchemy, is a food preservation consultant, helping chefs build their larders, leverage fermentation to reduce waste, and provide innovative ideas for experimentation. Rich is also a co-founder of acclaimed KojiCon, an annual, virtual conference on Koji. Yellow Farmhouse Education Center connects people with the origins of their food, fostering a shared commitment to supporting an accessible and affordable food system.

**The doors for this event open at 6pm but please come at your leisure. We'll be sending out food throughout the evening! Pagu's 7th birthday is here and what better way to celebrate than a patio party with all your favorite pugs! Tickets include for pintxos, paella, pizza, and pig! PAGU: Fermentation Fun! Kombucha, miso, kimchi, and more!

Fermentation Workshop with Curro Polo from Harvard Kombucha, kimchi, miso, pickles and more! &nbsp; Curro’s first approach to fermentation was when working at two Michelin starred restaurant Mugaritz in San Sebastian, Spain. After that he started a Master's in Gastronomy Sciences at Basque Culinary Center and just finished his Master's at Harvard in kombucha; on to his PhD! Curro will teach us about the various forms of fermentation (lacto, yeast, koji, and more). We will lunch on multiple dishes, savory and sweet, to understand the delicious applications of fermentation in cooking. We'll taste his latest kombuchas and get hands on with miso making and everyone will have (future) miso to take home! Participants will take home recipes and miso, and are encouraged to make their own creations! *This is not a physical product.
