Mr. Tampon Man's Menstrual Menagerie will be a period comedy night featuring stand up, live and filmed sketch comedy, and surprises! Because who doesn't love menstrual-related surprises!&nbsp;Satire warning: The character Mr. Tampon Man is the embodiment of period shaming and he can't wait to teach you little adies all about keeping your whiskerbiscuits hygienic during shark week! MTM was created by comic Roya Hamadani, so you know who to blame. **We will also be collecting menstrual products for donation and they don't all have to be cotton ponies!&nbsp; Comics include: Emily Goldstein, Amma Marfo, Sarah May, Emily Mu, Carrie Coughlin, and Kristina Feliciano plus a mystery guest!

Emily Goldstein is a versatile comedian, clown, and producer based in Boston. Since starting her standup comedy journey in July 2022, Emily has founded MOOISH Productions to uplift marginalized voices. She hosts a monthly standup show, Laughing Through the Pain. In October 2022, Emily was a Chosen Performer in Season 13 of #Kenanpresents at Laugh Boston. She performed at The PIT Solocom Festival in New York and the ‘Can You Relate?’ Festival in Boston in 2023. Nominated for ‘Funniest Comic of Boston’ in May 2023, Emily also participated in the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, assisting with a friend's solo show and performing standup herself. Her solo show, 'MOOISH,' is a testament to therapy, friendships, and prozac!

Ira Claybourne is a queer, southern-born female(ish) comedian, producer, and educator currently surviving and minimally thriving in Boston, MA. Ira delights audiences from coast to coast, getting their chops hosting the Fox's Lair Comedy Show in Augusta, Georgia, and gaying up lineups ever since at Q.E.D. in Astoria, New York, Nick's Comedy Stop in Boston, and the Rockwell Theater in Somerville, MA. Ira performed in the Laugh Riot Grrrrl Festival in LA, slayed their Bechdel Set in Portland, Oregon, and produced "Bless Our Hearts," a comedy show in the "Far From Here" Comedy Festival in Toronto, Canada. Ira guest co-hosted shows at Jacque's Cabaret in Boston with Queen Mitzzy Picardo, enjoys producing with New Normal Boston, and is honored to be a regular guest on Mooish Productions. Ira hopes to push the boundaries of comedy in liberating, thought-provoking, and innovative ways. Yeah they're talking about that DEI shit too. #BLM

MANIC! A Solo Comedy Show

Roya Hamadani is a stand up comic and sketch comedy producer and writer with Pigeon City Sketch Comedy. She has opened for Michael Ian Black, Judy Gold, and Ophira Eisenberg and performed at the Philly Punchline and Bechdel Test Fest. Her filmed sketch "Gynie on the Go!" was chosen for the Cookies and Comedy Film Festival and "Skweezy Moosh" was featured in the Vermont Comedy Festival. This solo show "Manic!" has been made possible by the support of friends, countless hours of therapy, and physically moving away from Pennsylvania where this all went down. Fair warning: An alternate title for the show is "Memories of a Stranger: Tales of the Dick Hunter."

#GIGGLINGTUESDAY: A Prison Book Program Fundraiser

New Normal Comedy is excited to partner with Quincy, MA's Prison Book Program to present #GIGGLINGTUESDAY, a year-end fundraiser for <a href="https://prisonbookprogram.org/">the Prison Book Program!</a> Join us on Tuesday, December 3rd (aka Giving Tuesday) to support this nonprofit in its mission to "support people in prison by sending them free books and reading materials that meet their specific needs and interests. [They] do this through a highly engaging volunteer experience that connects people inside and outside of the American prison system." For one night only, on the road to this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Comedian Carolyn Castiglia (Comedy Central, MTV, VH1) solves the lingering mysteries surrounding her family’s trauma after a decade of therapy and two puffs of weed. Told through hilarious stand-up and heartbreaking reflection, CHUCK is a true crime comedy about murder, suicide, sexual abuse, the Catholic Church, the military-industrial complex, woodchucks, and figure skating. CHUCK takes you on a wild and wise ride that will leave you feeling less alone, more hopeful, and fully empowered.
