Reckless Comedy for Safe Recovery 

Join us for an evening of stand-up comedy at its highest technical and artistic level to support individuals in recovery. Reckless Comedy is a "laugh-until-your-sides-hurt" night where no topic is off the table. Proceeds from the show will be going to the Milford First Congregational Church. They have been paramount in giving the recovery community a space to heal and grow. Get ready to cackle, cry-laugh and leave feeling excited to be part of this crazy thing called life. It's a sober event, but we're going hard. There will be food and drinks provided. Alcohol will not be served out of respect to those in recovery. All are welcome! Please come if you are in recovery and love comedy, or support recovery and love comedy. $20 dollar tickets! Come at 7pm for a social hour! The comedy show will kick off at 8. Jason Cordova Jason Cordova is a Boston-based comedian. He has made a name on the national scale, on shows like HBO's Pause with Sam Jay, and performed at legendary clubs like Gotham Comedy Club, The Stand, The Comedy Connection, and Foxwoods Casino. After his first time on stage in 2009, he hasn't stopped, carving out a lane for himself in the Boston comedy scene and rising up the ranks with his hard-hitting, brutal honesty that somehow makes us all feel not so different from each other. Liam McGurk Coming off a featured article in The Boston Globe for his inspiring comedy story, Liam McGurk is one of the most original and exciting comedians working today. Known throughout New England for his laid-back demeanor and cerebral, creatively off-beat material, he brings both thoughtfulness and silliness to the stage. Liam is the only comedian to ever win both the Funniest Person in Massachusetts Competition and the Boston Comedy Festival. He has been featured nationwide at the 10,000 Laughs Festival, Vail Comedy Festival, and many more. Whether he’s exploring pain and perseverance or riffing on Q-tips and Danny DeVito, no topic is too personal or too absurd for his brain’s faulty—or is it faultless?—wiring. Liam is a must-see comedian whenever you get the chance to catch him live. About First Congregational Church in Milford! The First Congregational Church in Milford is a mainline protestant organization affiliated with the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ. They believe in doing God’s work by filling needs in their community. They are active in recovery programs, food drives, and school supply programs. They have been essential in helping those in need overcome hardship.

Sam is a regular at lots and lots of the better shows around New England and is a regular at Boston's Nick's Comedy Stop and several other name clubs. LAITH ALSASAH A mainstay in the Boston comedy scene, especially on shows with a creative, alternative or more diversely representative nature, Laih blends observational humor, absurdism, and personal storytelling with bold revelations about her Muslim heritage and personal identity. Laith has been in the Boston Comedy Festival and been heard on the podcasts Dinner at Your Place and FlaminGoGurt. JAY MARTIN A Bostonian with the look of a college hockey player and the easy going, likably thoughtful vibe of a part time law student, Jay has earned his way onto spots at just about all of the premiere shows and clubs around greater Boston. Jay is the 2021 winner of Last Comix Standing at Mohegan Sun, a regular headliner at Nick’s Comedy Stop, and has opened for Nimesh Patel, Punkie Johnson and Steve Sweeney. ADAM GROPPMAN A Boston area native who came up in the Los Angeles comedy scene and recently moved back to New Engand, Adam has a smart, original act that's known for honesty, creative concepts and often passionate delivery. He's done festivals including Boston, Burbank, San Diego, Vermont, Palm Springs and NY Underground and has been seen and heard on ComedyTime, SiriusXM, NPR and starring in several funny national TV commercials.
