Life Chronicles: Immersive Expedition

For 30 minutes, marvel at the beauty and richness of life. From the depths of the ocean to the tropical forests, travel through the paleo-landscapes of the great geological periods and discover the first traces of life in the Archean era (-3.5 billion years ago), the emergence of diverse animal species in the Cambrian period (-520 million years ago), the great dinosaurs of the Cretaceous era (-67 million years ago) or the appearance of humans (between -100,000 and -60,000 years ago)… Accompanied by a virtual guide, the young researcher Charlie and her little robot Darwin, you and your group will get up close to the various inhabitants of the Earth. Who will dare to approach the Tyrannosaurus? Visitors must be 8 years of age or older and at least 4' tall to experience Life Chronicles. Visitors ages 8–17 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Children under 8 are not permitted to participate. Bundle and Save! In her own words, Jeneé Osterheldt created  A Beautiful Resistance “to carry on the tradition of Black artists and Black journalists in reclaiming the truth of Black folk. Like Frederick Douglass taught us, there is power in representation. Too often, we are measured by our suffering. Blackness must not be defined by our brutalization. We are more than death. When we are depicted by our extremes, the truth of us is lost. We live, fully. Our joy, our dreams, our everyday stories? That's a beautiful resistance.” Every season consists of a weekly mixtape featuring a short film, a longform story, and a Q&amp;A. Mass Innovation Nights

Join us as we celebrate the second 2026 Mass Innovation Night event at the Museum of Science, as part of the Museum’s Year of Revolutionary Science. Mass Innovation Nights (MIN) helps local innovators increase the buzz around new products and companies. From 2009 to 2020, there were more than 130 Innovation Nights events, with sponsors gaining invaluable exposure and access to the innovation business community, and 1500 collective exhibitors securing more than $4 billion in funding. MIN is so much more than an event. It’s a month-long promotion and celebration of startups and their new products. The events bring together a community that includes investors, sponsors, venues, business leaders, innovators, supporters, students, and social media champions. A weekly newsletter is sent out every Monday, sharing information about the new products, the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem and promoting startup community events. At each event, ten to fifteen companies showcase a new product, and the innovation community turns out help spread the word via social media, blogging, and word of mouth. For the startups, there are also connections made with prospective investors, customers, partners, employees, and service providers. For guests, there is great networking and a chance to talk with entrepreneurs and see the latest local innovation. Ancestors: An Immersive Journey into the Future

Step into the future—and meet the generations that come after us. This July, SubSpace is bringing Ancestors, an award-winning interactive experience by the Smartphone Orchestra, to the Museum of Science. Blending technology, storytelling, and human connection,&nbsp;Ancestors&nbsp;invites participants on a powerful collective journey six generations into the future. Guided entirely through your smartphone, you’ll engage in a series of prompts, interactions, and shared moments that connect you with others in the room in surprising and meaningful ways. Using AI, participants co-create imagined future generations—becoming part of a shared family tree that evolves throughout the experience. As the experience unfolds, you’ll explore big questions about climate, technology, and society—and reflect on the impact of the choices we make today on the world of tomorrow. Both playful and thought -provoking,&nbsp;Ancestors&nbsp;transforms your phone from a distraction into a tool for connection, curiosity, and collective imagination. This is not a passive performance—it’s a fully immersive, participatory experience where the audience becomes part of the story. Expect to connect with strangers, challenge your perspective, and leave with a renewed sense of responsibility for the future we are shaping together.
