The discount is limited to one single companion per passholder and does not apply to Boston Stadium trains, CapeFLYER, or special event trains. How to get your discount: $1 tickets can be bought in the mTicket app, either by the passholder or the companion, and will be validated by an onboard conductor.

Boston Stadium Trains to Quarter-finals match at Boston Stadium

Skip the traffic and get to the match the easy, stress-free way! Now on sale: roundtrip Boston Stadium Train tickets between South Station and Boston Stadium (Gillette Stadium) for the July 9 Quarter-finals match. Tickets are $80, sold exclusively on the <a href="https://www.mbta.com/mbta-endorsed-apps">MBTA mTicket app</a>, and allow for travel on the entire Commuter Rail network the day of your Event Train ticket.&nbsp; Riders are welcome to purchase tickets based on boarding groups, which are listed <a href="https://www.mbta.com/schedules/bostonstadium">online</a>. Full information can be found at <a href="https://www.mbta.com/WorldCup">MBTA.com/WorldCup</a>. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance and to buffer in extra travel time on match days. Boston Stadium Train tickets are nonrefundable and nonexchangeable. Boston Stadium Trains are the only MBTA public transit mode to Boston Stadium on match days, and they offer one of the most predictable and affordable options to get to the matches. There is no MBTA subway or bus service to Boston Stadium.&nbsp; Tickets should be purchased by fans with a valid same-day match ticket. Passengers must register the email address used to purchase their match ticket on mTicket to complete their train ticket purchase. Passengers without a valid match ticket will not be allowed to board at South Station.&nbsp; All passengers, including children 11 and under, must have a ticket to board the train. Train ticket sales will close once the maximum capacity is reached.&nbsp; Regular Commuter Rail tickets, passes and summer promotions -- including the $10 Weekend Pass and the 5-day Flex Pass -- are not valid for travel on Boston Stadium Trains.

Special Event Trains to Brazil vs. France Friendly Match

The MBTA Commuter Rail will operate four event trains from Boston’s South Station to Foxboro/Gillette Stadium for the Brazil vs. France&nbsp;<a href="https://www.gillettestadium.com/events/brazil-vs-france-2026/">Road to 26 Friendly Match</a>&nbsp;on Thursday, March 26. These four event trains will run express (no other stops) from South Station to Foxboro. Round trip tickets are $30 and are now available to purchase exclusively on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.mbta.com/mbta-endorsed-apps">the mTicket app</a>.&nbsp; The $30 event ticket is also good for travel across the Commuter Rail network on March 26, 2026. Tickets will be sold by boarding groups, “Group A” or “Group B,” with a corresponding schedule to be available at&nbsp;<a href="https://www.mbta.com/Gillette">MBTA.com/Gillette</a>. Boarding Group A&nbsp;(two trains)<ul><li>Riders with tickets for Boarding Group A should&nbsp;arrive at South Station by 12 PM&nbsp;to queue for Group A trains.&nbsp;</li><li>Riders will board either Train A1 or Train A2. Trains will depart as boarding is complete.&nbsp;</li></ul>Boarding Group B&nbsp;(two trains)&nbsp;<ul><li>Riders with tickets for Boarding Group B should&nbsp;arrive at South Station by 12:30 PM&nbsp;to queue for Group B trains.&nbsp;</li><li>Riders will board either Train B1 or Train B2. Trains will depart as boarding is complete.&nbsp;</li></ul>After the match:&nbsp;Four trains depart Foxboro starting 30 minutes after the match ends, leaving roughly every 15 minutes.&nbsp; These are the only trains to and from the match. There won't be regular Commuter Rail service to Foxboro on matchday. Due to anticipated high demand, no refunds or exchanges will be available. Tickets must be purchased prior to boarding each train. All passengers, including children 11 and under, must have a ticket to board the train. Train ticket sales will stop once the maximum capacity is reached.
