7th Annual Malden Juneteenth Freedom Celebration: All Are Welcome!

Divine Wonders, we are back!!! Malden Juneteenth is back for the 7th year in a row. Yes, I said the 7th year!&nbsp;And, like every year, we are bringing you a Junetheenth celebration that'll feed your&nbsp;mind, body and soul. We're also going to have plenty of opportunities for you all to support our local Black-owned businesses, so don't forget your cash and cards at home. Lastly, we're going to be outside at the Lincoln Commons, which&nbsp;will be perfect for that family&nbsp;bonding time&nbsp;or chill but fun date you've been dying to have. Bring your&nbsp;portable&nbsp;chair and blankets or take advantage of limited seating provided at the event. In case Mother Nature decides to give us rain that day, the rain location will be the Ferryway School,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.google.com/maps/search/150+Cross+Street,+Malden+MA?entry=gmail&amp;source=g" target="_blank">150 Cross Street, Malden MA</a>.&nbsp; We start with our annual flag raising at 11am, and just to give you a teaser, here is the lineup of performers that you won't want to miss!&nbsp;<ul><li>Keynote and poetry by&nbsp;<a href="https://www.brownskinnedpoet.net/" target="_blank">Terry E. This&nbsp;year, we will be selling 50 MALDEN JUNETEENTH T-SHIRTS to help raise money for next year's celebration, get them at the event while they last! Funding for this event is generously provided by the City of Malden, the Malden Cultural Council (a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency), Eastern Bank, and the NAACP Mystic Valley Branch. Hello Beloveds, Juneteenth Music Bingo is back! This fun-filled and spirited fundraiser is back again for the love of Black Liberation, Art, Culture, and Re-membrance a.k.a Malden's 7th Annual Juneteenth Celebration.&nbsp;Come with your empty bellies, dancing feet and game spirit! There will be 5 Bingo Cards, food, snacks, and a cash bar! All proceeds will help the Malden Juneteenth Planning Committee make the rest of Malden's 7th Annual Juneteenth Celebration as inclusive as possible. For those who attended last year, you know how fun our Music Bingo was. And for those who have attended Malden Juneteenth celebration in the last 6 years, you know we always bring it every year, m'kaaayyyy!! Bring 6 of your friends to make it a night to remember!
