Experience an evening of expressive piano music with&nbsp;Liana Paniyeva&nbsp;featuring works by&nbsp;Franck, Lyatoshynsky, Brahms,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Schumann. Program: César Franck – Prélude, Choral and Fugue, FWV 21 Boris Lyatoshynsky – Five Preludes, Op. 44 Johannes Brahms – Seven Fantasies, Op. 116 Robert Schumann – Sonata No. 2 in G minor, Op. 22 This program is supported by a grant from the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture and the City of Boston. About the Artist Hailed by the New York Concert Review as "a wonderful pianist",&nbsp;and one with "tender regard for the music, a captivating inwardness" by Fanfare Magazine,&nbsp;Liana Paniyeva has won prizes in numerous competitions internationally and has performed at festivals in Norway, Hungary, Austria, Canada, England, Italy, Syria,&nbsp;South Africa, Spain and Israel. Her recitals have taken her to Carnegie Hall, Worcester's Mechanics Hall, the Myra Hess Concert Series in Chicago, Merkin Hall in NYC to note highlights. Ms. Paniyeva has been a prizewinner in numerous international competitions: The Iowa International Piano Competition in 2015, The George Gershwin International Competition in 2019, Grand Prize at the Metropolitan International Piano Competition in NYC 2012, International Piano Competition in Memory of E. Gilels in Odessa, Music World in Italy, awarded the Cargill Foundation Prize in the 2014 Scottish International Piano Competition in Glasgow, a prize in memory of Bracha Eden for the most impressive performance during The Voice of Music Competition in Jerusalem, winner of The American Fine Arts Festival (AFAF) in NYC 2012 &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Liana has been featured in various broadcasts and recordings. Her solo recital in 2016 at the Myra Hess Concert Series in Chicago was broadcast live on WFMT Radio. Reviewing her recording, Huntley Dent of Fanfare Magazine praised her version of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an exhibition as " Paniyeva’s reading outshines many others in the catalog, including those by famous names." Liana is a winner of the American Prize 2021. In 2023&nbsp;Liana won the Grand Prize at the Oxana Yablonskaya Piano Institute in Puigcerda, Spain.&nbsp; Paniyeva is a graduate of the Donetsk Music Academy in Ukraine, she earned her Professional Studies Diploma from the Manhattan School of Music and an Artist Diploma from The Hartt School of the University of Hartford.
