Boundless Flow

Boston Sculptors Gallery Launchpad, is proud to present the work of Stefania Urist in her exhibition titled "Boundless Flow" on view from October 2nd to November 2nd 2025. The artist reception is October 19th from 2-5pm, the artist talk is at 3pm. First Friday reception is October 3rd from 5:00-8:30pm, and gallery hours are Wednesday - Sunday 11am to 5pm "Boundless Flow" showcases sculptures made from stalks of phragmites-- an invasive reed-- woven through chicken wire fencing to create swooping, swirling, forms that address wetland management and species migration.&nbsp; Stefania earned her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2022 and her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2013.

Boston Sculptors Gallery Launchpad is proud to present: Home/Enthroned, an exhibition of sculpture by Evan Morse will be on view at Boston Sculptors Gallery August 28th to September 28. Receptions are Friday, September 5, 5-8:30 pm and Saturday, September 13, 2-5 pm. &nbsp; The marble, plaster, and bronze sculptures in Evan Morse’s exhibition Home/Enthroned seek to elevate ordinary moments of interior lives, depicting people relaxing at home or going about everyday routines. Watching a movie on the couch is often a private activity, but it is also a nearly universal experience in modern life that most can relate to. Many of the sculptures in Home/Enthroned specifically reference historical precedents to leverage the visual language of the powerful for an ironic turn. The exhibition features work both in relief and in-the-round.

Melting Place

Melting Place presents a collection of welded steel sculptures that challenge perceptions of solidity and permanence. Through the use of modern and traditional metal forming techniques, the artist transforms rigid metal into seemingly fluid, melting structures. These works blur the line between the industrial and the organic, prompting viewers to reconsider the static nature of the objects and materials that shape our built and cultural environment.

Boston Sculptors Gallery is proud to announce an exhibition of Nadya Volicer's work titled "Whose Secrets We Carry" in the Launchpad. June 12 – July 13, 2025 &nbsp; Artist Reception:&nbsp;Sunday, June 15, 2 – 5pm &nbsp; Artist Talk:&nbsp;Sunday, June 15, 3 pm &nbsp; First Friday Reception:&nbsp;July 4, 5 – 8:30pm&nbsp; &nbsp; Gallery Hours:&nbsp;Wednesday – Sunday, 11am – 5pm "Whose secrets we carry&nbsp;is an immersive installation of embroidered lace panels and textile sculptures inviting the viewer to reflect on memory, family history and those fragments, both tangible and intangible, that are passed down. Photographs, documents and objects from her matrilineal line merge with objects gifted from family and friends to create a collective sense of ancestral reverence" &nbsp;

Holding Thoughts 

Virginia Mahoney’s Holding Thoughts features an installation of delicate and colorful vessel-like forms that weave life and memory into reclaimed netted produce packaging. The work belies Mahoney’s complex approach: She first cuts up old paintings into strips, then writes or stitches excerpts from her sketchbooks on them, and finally weaves the strips into the netting material, discovering new forms in the process. Labor-intensive, meditative techniques and strong materiality are ever-present in Mahoney’s work. Words expose fears and doubts, but the very act of writing or stitching them represents an act of affirmation. These contemplative moments of remembering, honoring, and preserving aid the artist in processing uncertainty, change, and ruminations on aging. Mahoney is holding on to where she has been, asserting and affirming power, self, mark, and agency.

Garnish

Kyle Browne’s exhibition Garnish invites viewers to a surreal feast where mixed-media sculpture, found objects, and hand-beaded photographs offer an ornate cabinet of curiosities. This immersive installation draws from Browne’s Celtic lineage, the natural world, the decorative arts, and sacred rituals to explore tensions between wild and domestic spaces, as well as between acts of consumption and celebration. Garnish unabashedly uplifts and meticulously embellishes the vulvar form, which is an archetypal symbol of creativity and the divine. Subverting the role of decoration as mere vanity, here it becomes a portal to deeper meaning.

Jade Olson: Automatic Friends

Jade Olson’s hand-built ceramic works explore what it means to be human, fallible, and damaged, yet simultaneously victorious, and even heroic. With her cast of robots, aliens, and other motley characters, she aims to create a space where superheroes pratfall, robots leer and grin, and imaginary creatures invite the viewer to step inside their uncanny worlds. Olson’s forms are colorful, painterly, and mysterious, yet ultimately friendly. Subjected to multiple firings, glazes bubble, melt, crack, and spill over the forms, signaling both vibrancy and vulnerability. Olson also sometimes incorporates simple electronics to create interactive experiences

Piles

Boston Sculptors Gallery is proud to announce in the Launchpad the work of Taylor Apostol. Taylor Apostol: Piles&nbsp; December 12, 2024 - January 26, 2025&nbsp; Artist’s Reception:&nbsp;Friday, December 13, 5 – 8:30pm&nbsp; First Friday: January 3, 5 – 8:30pm&nbsp; Gallery Hours:&nbsp;Wednesday – Sunday, 11am – 5pm&nbsp; Taylor Apostol’s ceramic and stone sculptures combine everyday elements into&nbsp;Piles, revealing a slice of a person’s identity, while simultaneously considering the problematic nature of consumption. The piles include familiar household items like clothing, dishes, waste bins, coupons, water bottles, and delivery trucks or packaging remnants from shipped goods. These items represent human consumption: commerce and the movement of goods, and the waste we discard.&nbsp;

again, forever

Boston Sculptors Gallery is thrilled to present in the Launchpad, Indigo Conat-Naar’s exhibition again, forever. At the intersection of being, memory, and place, Conat-Naar offers repetitive acts of caring for objects as a metaphor for our attempts to care for others across vast distances of time and space. In fake aquariums, fish swim endlessly around a distant memory, while a headboard and chair conjoin to create an ungainly table, forever on the run. Baskets morph into mountains, whilst legs of marble and clay kneel in the sand, sharing the same silent prayer. Shown alongside these objects is a video piece entitled "in the smell of some kind of polish" wherein Conat-Naar polishes her grandmother's silverware for the first time.
