ONE NIGHT ONLY | MAY 21, 2025 | 7:00PM Next Generation is Boston Ballet's annual one night only performance that empowers talented young dancers to reach for the stars. Featuring Boston Ballet II, Graduate Program artists, and students of Boston Ballet School’s Professional Division at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, this performance showcases a blend of timeless classical ballets and bold new contemporary works. The performance is elevated by live orchestral accompaniment by the Next Generation Orchestra, comprised of young musicians from top youth orchestras and music schools around Boston. Next Generation is underwritten by a generous gift from Donna and Michael Egan. Next Generation is also supported by our media partners WBUR and Boston Magazine.

You’re invited to attend a free trial class May 31- Jun 1 at any of our locations (Boston, Brighton, Brookline, or Newton) where prospective students ages 16 months to 18 years old can get an inside look at all that Boston Ballet School has to offer. Boston Ballet School’s Professional Division at Walnut Hill School for the Arts Fall Show

Boston Ballet School’s Professional Division at Walnut Hill School for the Arts proudly presents&nbsp;a Fall Showcase at the Keiter Center for the Arts—an unmissable showcase of technique and creativity!&nbsp;Starting with excerpts from Harald Landers Etudes, one of the most riveting and iconic ballets, the Fall Dance Showcase exemplifies ballet training and celebrates pure classicism. The performance offers a glimpse into the dancers' class routine with barre and center before transitioning into a fabulous showpiece of physical arts. In contrast, a world premiere for the Professional Division students choreographed by Levi Marsman, 2005 Walnut Hill graduate and former member of Alvin Ailey and Complexions, takes the performance into a creative, current, and relevant example of movement and ingenuity that showcases our students' diversity and individuality.

Sample Classes Boston Ballet School, the official school of Boston Ballet, is committed to providing the highest quality dance education through a wide array of classes led by expert faculty. Boston Ballet School Adaptive Dance Program

Boston Ballet School’s Adaptive Dance offers specialized, creative movement instruction for individuals with Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, as well as Inclusive classes for students of all needs ages 2–adult. Classes are taught by expert Boston Ballet School faculty and supported by licensed physical therapists and professional musicians. Students engage and explore in a safe environment as they develop movement, musicality, and personal growth. Classes run from Sep–May at your choice of two convenient locations in Boston and Newton. Registration for the 22/23 school year is now available.     Space is limited and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to register today! For all new families, a 30-minute intake interview by phone is required to complete your registration so we can place students in the most appropriate class. Boston Ballet School Community Dance Day

Community Dance Day  Saturday, August 13, 2022  10 am–4 pm  19 Clarendon Street, Boston, MA 02116    Celebrate dance and learn from artists in our city during a day of creative and interactive events, hosted at our Boston studios in the South End.    The event will also feature a screening of our brand-new <a href="https://www.bostonballet.org/Home/Education/Program/Youth-8-18/Citydance">CITYDANCE</a> documentary created in partnership with NBC/Universal. Narrated by JC Monahan, the film celebrates 30 years of this one-of-a-kind program that annually provides up to 3,000 third grade students from more than 130 Boston Public School classrooms with a tuition-free introduction to dance and ballet.
