A Lesson in Spirits at Nautilus Pier 4

Class is in session and the subject is spirits! This spooky season, the Nautilus team is taking the fear out of ordering your favorite liquor. A Lesson in Spirits takes you inside the mind of a bartender and into the world of distillation and aging, where every sip has a story. They’ll introduce you to five standouts of the spirits world: rum, vodka, gin, tequila, and whiskey each poured with context, craft, and character. Along the way, you’ll taste through the lineup, sip on a welcome cocktail, and enjoy small bites from the kitchen to keep things balanced. Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned sipper, this is a class designed to sharpen your palate, expand your horizons, and leave you with a newfound appreciation for what’s in your glass. Consider it a spirited happy hour with a syllabus.

It’s Spooky, It’s Groovy, It’s Halloween at Nautilus Pier 4! 

The Nautilus Pier 4 team is hosting their annual can’t-miss Halloween out on the Pier on October 31! Join us the Nauti Team for an unforgettable night of dancing, drinks and decor. Come dressed in your best throwback camp counselor or camper look because this year’s theme is ‘70s summer camp.’  Think tube socks, short shorts, bright colors, and all things 70s. While costumes aren't required, they are highly encouraged! There will be a costume contest at the end of the night for the coveted title of best dressed! Dance the night away to funky vibes spun by DJ Ryan Brown or grab a seat with your friends and enjoy all the Nautilus has to offer.

Grab your lederhosen and join the Nautilus Pier 4 team for Oktoberfest! Guests can enjoy Oktoberfest beers on tap from sponsor, <a href="https://www.counterweightbrewing.com">Counter Weight Brewing Co</a>., along with small bites and snacks at the bar. A “best dressed” competition will determine who owns the best lederhosen in Boston and winners will receive new Nauti merch, including a tote bag and koozie! For those looking to actively participate, a stein holding competition will take place at 3PM.

Join the Nauti team as they shake and stir three takes on Italy’s most iconic cocktail and explore the evolution of the Negroni with a hands-on cocktail class! Participants will get a lesson on mixology, learning to make the timeless classic along with a contemporary twist and a smoky, barrel-kissed rendition. Between sips, the kitchen will send out a spread of light bites and snacks, perfectly paired with each Negroni.

George Howell Coffee’s Lyrik café’s Grand Opening!

George Howell Coffee is proud to announce the grand opening of its newest café at Lyrik in Boston’s vibrant Back Bay neighborhood on Tuesday, August 26, 2025! George Howell Coffee’s Lyrik café will feature an extensive beverage menu including signature specialty coffees in a variety of preparations such as drip, espresso, iced coffee and lattes. Limited roasts, brewed by George Howell Coffee’s master baristas will be available by the cup, providing an opportunity for guests to enjoy perfectly brewed luxury coffees from around the world. Retail coffee will also be available for purchase. Pastries from Rhode Island-based bakery, Seven Stars, along with lunch and breakfast sandwiches, toasts and more are available through the afternoon, with dessert service launching later this year. To celebrate its grand opening, George Howell Coffee is offering $1 small cups of hot, iced and cold brew coffee at their Lyrik café from 12pm-2pm on August 26, 2025. Additionally, the first 100 customers will receive a complimentary limited release George Howell Coffee Lyrik tote.
