As a leader, Harris has released six albums. Harris thrives on a courageously playful style of communication in music, a style, in his opinion, that requires a very special and sincere habit of listening and an equally patient endeavor to express oneself with enthusiastic curiosity. Harris is in demand as a clinician, lecturer, and guest artists, consistently collaborating with both public and private organizations, nationally and internationally. He is currently on the faculty at Berklee College of Music where he coaches ensembles, theory classes, piano labs, and private piano instruction. Additionally, he is part of Berklee's Mentoring Program, and he leads the Piano Club.

As of June 2024, she is a recent graduate of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute Masters Programme; in 2023 she was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College of Music’s undergraduate programme. In spring 2023, Roella performed with her piano trio at the NAMM show in California and Capitol Turnaround in Washington as a featured artist of the SHEROCKS showcase. Pianistically, she represented Berklee's Jazz and Gender Justice Institute at the Reno Jazz Festival, the Detroit Jazz Festival Collegiate competition and headlined with NEA Jazz Master and grammy-award winner Terri-Lyne Carrington's band for BAMSfest.In May 2022, she won the ISJAC prize for Emerging Black Composers; travelling to Austin, Texas to accept the award and perform with their jazz orchestra. In November 2022, Roella booked a London Mini-tour for her trio during the London Jazz Festival. Three of five show dates; the Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s and Pizza Express Soho were sold out. The tour coincided with the release of her first EP ,"Sentient Sounds.”

Now he is bringing an all-star band featuring Grammy Nominated singer Debo Ray to the Regattabar in Cambridge. Molnar has made a name for himself as an in-demand saxophonist, both as a side man and leading his own groups. He has shared the stage with notable musicians including Grammy and Emmy award winning artists like Ghost-Note, Braxton Cook, Patrice Rushen, Debo Ray, Charles Haynes, Marquees Hill, George Garzone, as well as Mighty Mystic, Java Jukebox, Kat Wright, and many more. Her goal is to bring all of the diverse sounds and experiences of her life into her music: the Gospel of the church she grew up in, the blues and jazz she studied, all woven into pure, resonant songs that allow her effortless vocals to shine. American roots music comes from the blues, work songs, Celtic melodies, and hymns. All that is distilled into her warm, soulful voice. Fans are elated to see Farayi step out as a solo artist on her much anticipated debut recording project produced by Alain Mallet [Phil Woods, Paul Simon, Paquito D'Rivera, Marc Johnson, and Madeleine Peyroux.] Her writing showcases very accessible themes with a unique compositional intelligence demonstrated in songs like “Tonight”. Farayi is a Salt Lick Incubator award-winner alongside peers such as Tiny Habits, Alisa Amador and whose artist advisory panel includes T Bone Burnett, Jon Batiste, Harvey Mason Jr., and Patrice Rushen. When she is not performing and recording, Farayi shares her vast musical knowledge as a professor at various esteemed institutions including Berklee’s City Music Boston High School Academy, New England Conservatory and Berklee College of Music. In an interview with The Boston Globe Farayi says “Seeing my students be so brave and confident, so artistic and free...they’re the ones who actually inspired me to pursue my artistic career.” Whether she is engaging with her audience through performance or education, Farayi is driven by the desire to make people feel seen and at home in their otherness.

Opt for $20 General Admission and enjoy the performance with access to the bar in our standing room area. <a href="https://www.caioejess.com/">Caio e Jess</a> is led by American vocalist, Jessica Curran and Brazilian guitarist, Caio Afiune. Both professors at Berklee College of music and with awards such as the ASCAP Young Composers Award and John Lennon Songwriting Contest under their belts, Caio e Jess provide an ethereal, unique and immersive show of virtuosic electricity. Currently, the two are gearing up to release their debut full-length album of original music entitled, “Encontro”, featuring some of the finest musicians from around the globe including prestigious guests such as Laura Perrudin, Michael Mayo, Henrique Eisenmann and Raphael Barata. Max Ridley - Bassist Maxwell Salinger-Ridley's musical narrative is as diverse as it is profound. Maxwell's spiritual journey and commitment to music education, including his work with Subject:Matter and teaching roles across New England, reflect his holistic approach to music. Dor Herskovits- Boston based Israeli drummer Dor Herskovits is already a staple of the Boston jazz scene and has won international acclaim as an improviser. Herskovits has recorded many albums as a sideman, featured on labels such as Newvelle and Endectomorph music, alongside musicians such Grammy award-winning guitarist Bill Frisell, Michael Blake and Jason Palmer. Rochambeau's refined setting is the perfect backdrop for an extraordinary evening where the essence of jazz and the art of fine dining intertwine. She is also a well-known session vocalist worldwide. As a vocal arranger for Women of the World and lead singer of Terri Lyne Carrington's band, Social Science, and Screaming Headless Torsos, among others, Debo has toured internationally and performed at top venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Newport Jazz Festival.

The Charles River Jazz Festival’s mission is to build community through music and the arts by providing an engaging event with some of Boston brightest stars and up and coming Artists. This years festival will take place on Sunday July 10th at the Herter Park Amphitheater in Allston from 1pm-9pm. THIS YEAR’S LINE-UP: Debo Ray New Legaxy Seba Molnar Zahili Gonzalez Zamora Caio Afiune Founded in 2021, The Charles River Jazz Festival is an all day music and art experience located at Herter Park in Allston, MA. Despite limited funding and a short timeline, our inaugural festival brought over 500 people and we’re excited to continue growing and showcasing the many sides of Jazz music. Through music we celebrate the diverse cultures that the Boston community has to offer. Jazz is rooted in and led by the Black American experience and our goal is to continue to give a platform to this unique art form and to support local musicians and artist who embody the heart and soul of jazz. In our first year we were honored to showcase the Contemporary Jazz of Noah Preminger an internationally acclaimed saxophonist and winner of the Down Beat ‘Up and Coming Artist’ award, the Afro-fusion stylings of award-winning Mozambican guitarist and singer Albino Mbie, and the powerhouse vocals of Malden native and Grammy nominated singer Debo Ray. It is our hope that The Charles River Jazz Festival brings new life to the Boston music scene and inspires generations to come!
