This can’t-miss fall tradition is entirely free and will welcome thousands of guests to savor Boston’s most beloved autumn dish: chowder. Chowderfest brings together some of the city’s top restaurants and chefs, each serving up their own take on the classic New England favorite. The 49th running of the Boston 10K for Women will return on Saturday, October 11, 2025! Founded in 1977 the Boston 10K for Women is New England’s largest and oldest all-women race and will take place at Boston Common. Thousands of women will come together for an unforgettable experience celebrating strength, community, and the power of women. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or this is your first 10K, the Boston 10K for Women offers an inspiring and welcoming environment for everyone.

From Wednesday, July 2, through Friday, July 4, Boston Harborfest features hundreds of activities over Independence Day week at Boston’s most iconic historic landmarks. This family-friendly event is one of the country’s largest Fourth of July festivals, with activities across Boston, including Downtown Crossing, Christopher Columbus Park, the Rose Kennedy Greenway, and of course on the Harbor itself. Activities include the annual opening ceremony, historical reenactments, live musical entertainment, fireworks, and much more! On Wednesday July 2, the Boston Harborfest fireworks will launch from a barge anchored a few hundred yards off of Long Wharf in Boston’s Inner Harbor. The best vantage points are Christopher Columbus Park, Fan Pier, Flagship Wharf, Piers Park, LoPresti Park East Boston, and Griffin’s Wharf.

Road of Rainbows Pride 5K

The Boston Theater Company (BTC) is thrilled to announce the return of the Road of Rainbows Pride 5K on Saturday, June 14. Located at Boston Common with a 10:00 a.m. start time, the fifth annual race combines arts and athletics into a family-friendly celebration in the heart of Pride Month. The three-lap run around Boston Common will begin and end with pre-race and post-race programming, including a festival featuring local LGBTQ+ artists that will end at 1:00 p.m.

The Marine Corps Honor Run 5K will offer:<ul><li>The fastest 5K course in Boston</li><li>Scenic views from Castle Island</li><li>Product sampling</li><li>Event warm-up</li><li>Awards ceremony with great prizes, and more!</li></ul>Join us for the Boston Marine Corps Honor Run 5K as we continue our tradition of honoring the brave men and women who have served in the U.S. Marine Corps. This annual event began with the mission to raise awareness and support for veterans and military families, while also fostering a sense of community and pride for those who have sacrificed for our freedom. In 2025, we are excited to announce a new chapter for the Honor Run as we relocate to the picturesque DCR’s Fort Independence at Castle Island. This new venue offers a stunning backdrop of Boston Harbor and a scenic course for participants to enjoy while raising awareness and funds for two military non-profits.

Boston 10K for Women 2024, presented by REI

Established in 1977 as the Bonne Bell Mini Marathon, the Boston 10K for Women is the longest-running all-women’s sporting event in New England. With thousands of runners and spectators each year, its New England’s largest all-women’s road race, and has been organized every year by Conventures, Inc. The race features a flat out-and-back course through Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood and scenic stretches of Memorial Drive in Cambridge.
