Thanksgiving is OVER and it is officially time to get into the holiday spirit! We are kicking off snow season with a holiday themed trivia. We will be covering all things holiday (with a special focus on films and television!) Join us for some holiday cheer and spiked hot chocolate in the Stacks! Food and Beverage will be available for purchase. Refunds will be available on a case by case basis. Refunds can not be granted within 24 hours of the event.

Home Alone Screening

Now that Thanksgiving is over... we can officially get into the Christmas spirit! Join us for our Home Alone Screening this Saturday to kick off the holiday season. Friendsgiving Get-Together

Alone for Thanksgiving? Not anymore! Join us for first ever Friendsgiving get together. Those of us who are still in town for the holiday are going to gather in our upstairs dining room to play board games and watch the Thanksgiving episodes of Friends! We will also be adding some special Thanksgiving meals to the menu to make sure everyone gets the full experience. Come make new friends and enjoy the holiday with us. See you there! Murder Mystery: Time Warp

Murder Mystery Dinners are back! We will be celebrating this Halloween with a thrilling mystery titled "Time Warp." Dive into the world of suspense as you become part of the Time Travelers Committee! Participants must mingle to discover who is messing with the space-time continuum. Every participant will receive their own character sheet, with characteristics, secrets, goals, etc. to help you find the murderer amongst you! There are characters for everyone! Characters include celebrities, NASA, techies, and the famous Back to the Future gang! You will have a set period to acclimate to your character before an untimely discovery takes place – a murder! Can you solve the mystery in the knick of time? Don't miss out on Trident Booksellers and Cafe's "Time Warp" Murder Mystery Dinner! Each ticket will include dinner, a script, and a night full of mayhem. Each guest must purchase a ticket. Seating will begin at 6:30 pm. D﻿inner will be a "Mac-to-the-Future" Buffet (Mac n Cheese bar!), along with salad and dessert. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. We will be playing the same game for all 2024 dates, please do not purchase a ticket twice! Refunds will be given on a case by case basis. Refunds will not be given within 48 hours of the event.

Crafts & Cocktails: Mug Painting

Join us for our next Crafts &amp; Cocktails night... Mug Painting! The crafts will be accompanied by a screening of the classic bookstore rom-com, You've Got Mail! This event makes the perfect date night or girls night out. Tickets include one ceramic mug as well as access to supplies for painting. Seating begins at 5:30 with the movie starting at 6pm. Food, beverage, and cocktails will be available for purchase in the upstairs cafe! Refunds will be on a case by case basis. Refunds can not be granted within 24 hours of the event.

Shadow Puppetry Workshop

Fork &amp; Shoe Theatre Co-op presents INTO THE SHADOWS: A Shadow Puppetry Cheap Art Salon!! Join us at Trident Booksellers &amp; Cafe on November 14th, 2024 from 7-9pm for an evening of fun and exploration into the world of shadow puppetry! Sarah Nolen, puppeteer extraordinaire and Resident Artist at Puppet Showplace Theater, will discuss the history, significance, and the basic techniques of shadow puppetry. Then, you will build and experiment with shadow puppets of your own design, as well as try out puppets from Sarah’s collection! This workshop, like all Fork &amp; Shoe events, is FREE to attend! The Cheap Art Salon is a low stakes community art making event, presented every ~4 months in a variety of Boston spaces. Knives Out Screening

Trident cordially invites you to join us at the Thrombey estate, November 9th. We will be gathering to watch one of our favorite new detectives, Benoit Blanc, solve the ever puzzling murder of Harlan Thrombey. Watch one of the most iconic ensemble casts take on the roles of the Thrombey family. While this only came out in 2019, it became an instant Fall classic. Taking place in a huge Massachusetts Mansion, it gives all of the classic Autumn vibes we need this season. Monster Mash Poetry Slam

In this extra special week of open mic poetry, we will be cutting round 2 to host our first ever... Monster Mash Slam! Contestants will be competing with various monster poems for a prize (poems must be on theme!) Sign-ups for the slam will open at 6:30pm. Slots will be first come first serve. All contestants should have 3 monster poems prepared (Keep in mind that they might not all be performed. All 3 rounds will be competing to get onto the next!) The open mic will be 7pm-8pm and the slam will be going from 8:15pm-9:30pm. (Note: If you compete in the slam, you will not be given a slot at the open mic).
