Intro to Espresso & Latte Art

Join us for a crash course in all things espresso! In this 2 hour course you will learn:<ul><li>the proper techniques to pull a shot of espresso</li><li>how to steam milk to achieve microfoam</li></ul>We will also cover basic latte art pours, giving you a chance to show off your stuff! This class is a mix of lecture and hands-on time on the machines. No prior experience is necessary, but we encourage you to come prepared to drink some coffee!  The ticket price includes a 12oz bag of coffee and a printed booklet of materials.    This class requires a minimum of 2 people to run. If we do not have the minimum number of attendees registered 24 hours before the event, we will refund or reschedule your ticket. Cancellation policy: If you need to reschedule or cancel, please do so a mimimum of 48 hours before the class begins. Due to our minimum attendance policy, we are unable to reschedule or refund the cost of the class within 48 hours of it beginning.

This workshop is an extension of Intro to Espresso &amp; Latte Art, and sign-ups are restricted to those that have already taken our intro class! This ensures everyone is on a level playing field, and doesn't require us to repeat areas we covered in the intro class. Thanks for your understanding! Take your skills to the next level! In this 2 hour workshop, you will learn:<ul><li>milk chemistry</li><li>how to achieve and steam consistent micro foam for lattes</li><li>techniques to pour 3 basic latte art designs:</li><li>Monk's head/heart	</li><li>Tulip</li><li>Rosetta</li></ul>We will cover the tools needed and why they’re important, touch upon milk chemistry, and dial in our milk steaming and pouring technique. This workshop will help you learn the basics and give you the knowledge to help you troubleshoot in your future practice sessions.&nbsp;This workshop specifically covers “free pour” designs; etching is&nbsp;not&nbsp;included.
