Some wines tell a story. Domaine Tempier tells a legacy. Lucien Peyraud is forever celebrated as the Godfather of Bandol—the visionary who revived Mourvèdre and helped transform the region into one of the great wine-producing areas of France. At Domaine Tempier, he and his wife Lulu created wines of depth, structure, and remarkable longevity, establishing the estate as a true grand cru of Provence. But Tempier has always been about more than wine. Lucien and Lulu raised seven children, and their home became famous for its long, lively tables—where family, friends, and travelers gathered to share bottles, stories, and Lulu’s generous Provençal cooking. Hospitality and community remain at the heart of the domaine to this day. On a near-spring evening at Nautilus Pier 4, we hope to capture a bit of that same spirit. Their culinary team will present a five-course dinner inspired by the flavors of Provence, paired with an extraordinary lineup of Tempier wines, along with two other Provençal winemaking icons. Guiding the evening will be Brittany Galbraith, National Sales representative for Kermit Lynch Wines, who will share the history, philosophy, and magic behind these legendary bottles. This is a rare opportunity to experience one of the world’s most beloved estates through a thoughtful progression of wines and dishes—an evening honoring the warmth, generosity, and soulful cooking that Lulu Peyraud made famous at Domaine Tempier.

Long known for its dual Chef’s Tasting and à la carte menus, nine refined its culinary approach this autumn, shifting to a single menu that embodies its ethos as a neighborhood mainstay equally suited for a spontaneous midweek cocktail or special occasion. This New Year’s Eve, Chef Andrew Simonich brings back the celebrated Chef’s Tasting Menu, inviting guests on an immersive, multi-course journey that highlights the creativity and craftsmanship of the nine team.&nbsp; Guests are invited to choose between two distinct seatings – a six-course tasting menu will be presented to those with reservations between 5:00pm-7:00pm, while an eight-course seating will be presented to those with reservations during the second seating, between 7:00pm-9:00pm.&nbsp; The tasting menus reflect the depth of nine’s culinary program, weaving New England bounty like the decadent Vermont Quail together with the indulgences like Westholme Wagyu. In addition to the courses outlined in the menus below, Chef Simonich is crafting the iconic Nine Boston Prune Gnocchi with Foie Gras Sauce – a nod to the restaurant’s legacy, featuring hand-made potato gnocchi filled with wine-poached prunes – offered as a supplemental course for both tastings.&nbsp; Celebrations will continue through the evening, with a midnight countdown and a complimentary champagne toast to ring in the new year. Guests who book a reservation during the second turn will have their table held through midnight should they choose to ring in the new year at nine.
