Ize Trio is a multi-cultural music ensemble focused on combining the American art form of Jazz with Middle Eastern traditions. They collaborate and perform in order to create a more inclusive vision for musical communities and to raise awareness for immigrant rights. Through their different backgrounds and cultural traditions, they write original music and tell musical stories that are important in opening positive dialogue about the relationship between the US and the Middle East. They seek to inspire musicians to add their cultural roots to the Jazz tradition and display how music can be a bridge to understanding and connection. SEEING Opening Reception

Running from July 9th to September 5th, this exhibit features physical and 3D art, simulations, and projections, "SEEING" creates an engaging environment guided by artists, curators, and scientific advisors. The exhibit showcases the work of Miriam Bucheli, a nature science illustrator and digital artist specializing in botanical art and augmented reality; Chuanwen Lee Graves, known for merging illustration and computer graphics to explore deep emotions and environmental influences; and MASARY Studios, a transdisciplinary artist collective reimagining environments through sound, light, interactivity, and performance. This film offers a glimpse into the grandeur of the past through archival clips from the past, looking back on the grandeur of the Jewel Box Revue and its celebration of pure entertainment in the face of homophobia and segregation. We're so excited to present the eight artists that will have their work on display at the FPAC Art Space to honor the legacy of Boston's Queer artists and Stormé DeLarverie.
