Pell Lucy Artist Collective: Form as Presence, Not Proposition Lucid Ground January 27 - April 3 Reception: January 29, 5-7pm The Fort Point Arts Community (FPAC) is pleased to present Lucid Ground, a new exhibition by the Pell Lucy artist collective. Bringing together artists from across the U.S. and abroad, the show highlights the Pell Lucy conviction that visual language is lucid, grounded, and inherently potent—an intelligence that arises from presence rather than proposition.

FPAC Art Space: The Soul of Epirus

The Soul of Epirus is a program rooted in Traditional Greek music that brings together two Grammy-nominated composer-performers: Epirus-born laouto virtuoso Vasilis Kostas and Cypriot percussionist George Lernis. Grounded in the soulful clarinet traditions of Epirus and enriched by the improvisatory language of jazz, their collaboration bridges village melodies with contemporary compositional voices. Featuring the laouto alongside Mediterranean hand percussion, the program unfolds through swelling rhythms and deeply expressive melodies shaped by centuries of oral tradition. Together, they honor ancestral roots while crafting a vibrant, cross-cultural musical narrative for today’s global stage. FPAC Art Space: Harbor Harmonies - Resonances, A World of Guitar

In Resonances: A World of Guitar, Guitarist and composer, Aaron Larget-Caplan explores music of Bach, classics by Spanish and Latin American composers, and new dreams by Korean, and US composers, in an exciting and hypnotizing program surveying our experience of time and culture through the lens of the guitar. Making his debut on Harbor Harmonies, Aaron will perform masterpieces from the repertoire alongside new works with a Boston connection.

Woven Together

Showcasing the work of nine textile artists, the diversity of approaches to fabric comes together to visualize how important our everyday connections are. With an undercurrent emphasizing family, community and environment, we are reminded that we are all woven together, perhaps held by just a thread, but connected nonetheless. FPAC Harbor Harmonies: Echos Without Borders

Accordionist Mattias Kaufmann and pianist Hua Ye met through a shared passion for world music that transcends the boundaries of classical and jazz traditions. Together, they explore a rich palette of global sounds — from the intricate modes of Greek traditional music to the passionate expressions of Argentinian tango, and from evocative neoclassical textures to their own original compositions. Blending improvisation with cultural storytelling, they are shaping a unique musical language that they dubbed as “Boston Folk” — a genre-fluid conversation between cultures, rooted in tradition yet constantly evolving. Their collaboration invites audiences on a journey through soundscapes that are at once intimate, expansive, and borderless. KinoRaw Film Screenings

KinoRAW is an independent short film festival that unites people who love cinema and filmmakers who want to be heard. At the upcoming screening, we plan to present six short films created by Ukrainian filmmakers that reflect unique stories, new creative approaches and relevant themes. We believe in the power of cinema to inspire, change perceptions and start important conversations. The films are in the Ukrainian language with English subtitles. Ages 16+

Contemporary Narratives Reception

CONTEMPORARY NARRATIVES showcases the work of five cartoonists working within the autobiographical genre. Karl Stevens is a visual artist specializing in narrative art through comic strips, illustration, and oil paintings. His work has frequently appeared in The New Yorker, The Village Voice, and The Boston Globe. He is the author of 8 graphic novels including PENNY: A GRAPHIC MEMOIR published by Chronicle Books in 2021, promoted by David Sedaris on two of his recent book tours, and MOTHER NATURE which was an adaptation of a film script by Jamie Lee Curtis and Russell Goldman. He lives in Boston with his wife and two cats. Earth Month Gallery Stroll and Reception

"EARTH MONTH: Environmental Awareness," curated by Liliana Folta is coming to FPAC. This timely showcase will run from April 1-30, 2025, at the FPAC Art Space, 70A Sleeper Street in Boston's Seaport. Featuring mixed media, installations, and public art, the exhibition presents visual forms of intellectual understanding that engage viewers on an emotional level. FPAC artists and the i3C group explore the relationship between social behavior and its effects on people, land, water, and air. The artworks showcase a deep connection with repurposed and recycled materials, highlighting the issue of pollution.
