Free Bluebikes Every Monday in August by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

<a href="https://aboutus.bluecrossma.com/">Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts</a> (Blue Cross) is sponsoring complimentary <a href="https://www.bluebikes.com/">Bluebikes</a> Day Passes every “Mindful Monday” in August in recognition of National Wellness Month. The initiative aims to highlight the positive impact mindfulness activities like biking can have on one’s overall health and wellbeing.  Throughout the month, riders can enjoy the outdoors while also improving their mental and physical health by taking free Bluebikes rides, courtesy of the state’s largest health plan. Blue Cross is the title sponsor of Bluebikes, which is public transportation by bike. The system is municipally owned and operated under contract by Lyft.  Riders can take advantage of free Day Passes by entering the appropriate code on the <a href="https://www.bluebikes.com/app,">Bluebikes App</a> for every Monday in August:  ●      August 5: BLUECROSS05 ●      August 12: BLUECROSS12 ●      August 19: BLUECROSS19 ●      August 26: BLUECROSS26   Each code will unlock one free Day Pass, which includes unlimited complimentary two-hour pedal bike rides during a 24-hour period, and free ebike unlocks. Riders can also upgrade to ebikes rides for an additional per minute fee.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Launches 100 Proud Bluebikes in Celebration of Pride Month 

In celebration of Pride Month,&nbsp;<a href="https://aboutus.bluecrossma.com/" target="_blank">Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts</a>&nbsp;(Blue Cross) is launching 100 rainbow-themed Bluebikes into Greater Boston’s bike share system this June.&nbsp;As part of&nbsp;this&nbsp;month-long initiative&nbsp;to&nbsp;support the LGBTQIA+&nbsp;community,&nbsp;Blue Cross&nbsp;will also donate $1 to&nbsp;<a href="https://fenwayhealth.org/" target="_blank">Fenway Health</a>&nbsp;for every ride taken on&nbsp;a “Proud Bike” (either pedal or ebike) throughout the month*.&nbsp; Fenway Health, a longtime partner of Blue Cross, is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of the LGBTQIA+ community and all diverse communities through innovative, equitable, and accessible health care, supportive services, and transformative research and education. Blue Cross has been Bluebikes’ title sponsor since the 2018 inception of the publicly owned bike share program, which is owned by the 13 participating municipalities and operated by Lyft. *Blue Cross will donate $1 up to $10,000 for every ride taken on a Blue Cross “Proud Bike” from June 1 - June 30, 2024.&nbsp;
