Mandarin Oriental, Boston invites guests and community members to celebrate Global Wellness Day with a complimentary guided outdoor Tai Chi session on June 23 at 10 a.m. The experience will take place beneath the tree-lined paths of historic Commonwealth Mall. Reservations are required.

Champions for Peace: An Evening of Life, Legacy, and Action with Matthew Slater

Former New England Patriots captain and three-time Super Bowl Champion Matthew Slater will headline Champions for Peace: An Evening of Life, Legacy, and Action on Thursday, June 25, at Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee. Hosted by the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, the fundraiser will support the organization's vision for the National Center of Healing, Teaching, and Learning, a first-of-its-kind facility dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities impacted by violence and trauma. Founded by Chaplain Clementina Chery after the loss of her son, Louis D. Brown, the Peace Institute has spent nearly 30 years helping families transform grief into healing while advancing violence prevention efforts across Massachusetts. "Matthew Slater embodies the values of leadership, service, and community that are central to our mission," said Chery. "We are honored to welcome him as we bring together supporters committed to building safer, healthier communities." The evening will feature cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a program highlighting the Peace Institute's impact and future plans.
