Beethoven on the Beach - Back Bay

Join trumpeter CJ Waldrop and pianist Alex Nagy for a collection of some of our favorite music, newly adapted for trumpet and piano. Experience Beethoven’s Cello Sonata No. 1, performed for perhaps the first time with a brass instrument and piano. Take a journey at sea with our brief, dramatic rendition of the Gilbert and Sullivan opera The Pirates of Penzance retold as a duo. Celebrate the holidays with us in our first winter show. This performance is about an hour long and is suitable for all ages. We hope that there is something for everybody to enjoy in our performance of our new December 2025 show, Beethoven on the Beach.

Chop Break Duo - Brookline

Classmates, fraternity brothers, and longtime friends Alex Nagy and CJ Waldrop have formed the <a href="https://sites.google.com/view/chopbreakduo/home" target="_blank">Chop Break Duo</a>. They will present five concerts of music for trumpet and piano this summer, starting with these two in the greater Boston area. Admission is free of charge. The show will last about an hour and will feature the music of composers including Jean Françaix, Joseph Haydn, Marisa Youngs, Kevin McKee, Marcus Grant, and Herman Bellstedt. This is a casual concert where Alex and CJ can share music, both as soloists and as a duo, with their friends, families, and communities. They feel that these selections will include something for everyone. The Boston shows are the first two installations of Chop Break Duo’s first East Coast Tour with upcoming performances in Greenville, SC, Winston-Salem, NC, and Tallahassee, FL.&nbsp; BOSTON CONCERTS: Wellesley Thursday, June 6th, 7:00pm, Wellesley Hills Congregational Church 207 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA Brookline (this performance) Sunday, June 9th, 6:00pm, Church of our Saviour 25 Monmouth Street, Brookline, MA
