The Needham Harvest Fair, presented by Fidelity Bank and BXP, returns on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 11 AM–3 PM at Greene’s Field. This free, family-friendly tradition brings the whole community together for a day of fun, food, and local pride. With more than 120 exhibitors, including local businesses, nonprofits, and the Needham Farmers Market, the fair has something for everyone. Our annual Regional Real Estate Forum is back, focusing this year on the competitiveness of our region and what steps we can take to boost economic vitality. Doug Howgate, president of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation, will present the newly released <a href="https://www.masstaxpayers.org/massachusetts-competitiveness-index-report">Massachusetts Competitiveness Index</a>, which compares the state to others across 26 key metrics. After his presentation, a group of young professionals will share their challenges with housing in the region and what steps our cities and towns can take to be more competitive and welcoming for future generations. The discussion will continue with planning directors from Wellesley, Newton, Watertown, and Needham as they explore ways to work together to enhance the competitiveness of our communities. Event Details:<ul><li>Registration &amp; Networking: 8:45 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.</li><li>Program: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.</li></ul>Pricing Members $30, Nonmembers $40 Space is limited. Annual Networking After Hours & Holiday Gift Drive

Join the Charles River Regional Chamber to kick off the holiday season at a special networking event at Showcase SuperLux at The Street in Chestnut Hill. This year-end gathering is a great opportunity to meet new people, reconnect with others, and enjoy a festive atmosphere with delicious food and drinks (pay-as-you-go). In the spirit of the season, we’re asking attendees to bring an unwrapped gift for children ages newborn to 10 or make a $20 donation. All donations will go towards <a href="https://www.village-bank.com/holiday-gift-drive-2023/">Newton’s Holiday Gift Drive</a>, a community initiative to provide gifts for families in need. Gifts will be purchased at local shops, including Henry Bear's Park. If you can't attend but would like to help, <a href="https://charlesriverchamber.com/toy-drive">you can still donate</a> or find a drop-off box to support local families. Join us for the 109th Fall Business Breakfast, a signature event that brings together over 400 local residents, business professionals, and community leaders. This annual gathering is not only our largest fundraiser—supporting the Chamber’s year-round programs, operations, and advocacy—but also a valuable opportunity for networking, inspiration, and community connection. The event kicks off with a buffet breakfast and networking at 7:15 a.m., followed by an engaging program from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. Keynote Speaker: Steve Gross Steve Gross, a renowned advocate for the power of optimism, will be our keynote speaker. With over 30 years of experience, Steve’s journey began in 1989 when he founded Project Joy, a nonprofit that used joyful play to support homeless and impoverished children in Greater Boston. Now leading the Life is Good Playmaker Project, his work has gone global, impacting millions and training over 20,000 professionals. Steve will share insights on how optimistic leadership can drive success, especially in challenging times. Honoring Darryl Settles We are excited to present the R.L. Tennant Award, the Chamber’s highest honor, to Darryl Settles, founder of Catalyst Ventures Development. This award recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to our communities. Whether you’re a local resident interested in community initiatives or a business professional looking to network, this event offers something for everyone. We hope to see you there!
