Red Room at Cafe 939: Free & Cheap Concerts at Berklee College of Music

Tucked inside a coffee house on Boylston Street, the Red Room at Cafe 939 is Berklee College of Music's student-run, all-ages concert venue, and one of the most underrated live music destinations in Boston. With a capacity of just 200, it's the rare spot where you can catch a rising artist before they outgrow the room. The artists who come to this space bring an eclectic mix of voices to the stage, including alternative folk, indie pop, singer-songwriters, and local Boston artists. Many of the shows are free, with some ticketed events that are intimate and affordable. Whether you're a music obsessive or just looking for something real on a weeknight, this is the room for it.
