Bisexual Pre-Pride House Party

Pride is coming and we’re kicking things off together. After a hiatus, the Bisexual Resource Center’s House Party is back for community, food, fundraising, and a night that actually feels good to be in. This is your space to show up, connect, and start Pride season surrounded by people who get it. Because let’s be real: Pride doesn’t always feel like it was built for us. Bi+ people are often sidelined, questioned, or made to feel like we have to prove something just to belong. This night is a reminder that you don’t. You’re already enough, and you deserve spaces where that’s a given. This year’s theme is BICON, so come dressed as your favorite bi+ icon. Celebrity, historical figure, fictional character, or honestly yourself (because, yeah, you’re biconic). Interpret it however you want. What to expect:<ul><li>Food, good company, low lights (no scary overheads here) and a chill vibe</li><li>Two drink tickets included with admission (additional drinks $5; soda and water are free)</li><li>A raffle featuring prizes from local orgs and businesses</li><li>A chance to sign up to march with us in the Boston Pride Parade with our new flag</li><li>Opportunities to connect, get involved, and learn more about BRC’s work</li></ul>Tickets &amp; Access: We suggest a donation of $35 to attend. If you’re able, we encourage you to give a little more to help cover the cost of someone else’s ticket and keep our work going strong. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.  Location: This is a private residence in Cambridge, MA. The address will be shared with confirmed RSVPs only. This event helps fund the work we do year-round: support groups, educational resources, advocacy, and building a stronger, more visible bi+ community. It’s also our launchpad into Pride season, when we show up loud, visible, and together. For over 40 years, the Bisexual Resource Center has been doing this work. This night is part of how we keep it going. Come as you are (or as your favorite Bicon). Either way, we’ll be glad you’re there.

Sapphic Speed Dating | Boston LGBTQ+ Singles

Bisexual Killjoy, Deep Blue Hair Studio, and the Bisexual Resource Center invite you to a special night of sapphic speed dating. Dating can feel like a lot. Apps are exhausting, small talk the worst, and somehow everyone is either too cool or unavailable. So we’re trying to do something to make things better. This event is geared towards folks ages 25-45. Join us for an evening designed to make meeting people feel a little more human and a lot less intimidating. We’ll start with low-pressure icebreakers to get everyone grounded (and to prove that, yes, everyone here is a person like you). Then we’ll move into structured speed dating, followed by an open social hour where you can keep the conversation going in a more relaxed setting. Nervous? Baby, there’s no need. If you need help getting in the fray, Bisexual Killjoy’s co-host, Bailey Merlin, will be there to help you be brave and talk to the sapphic of your dreams. She wants to be thanked in a wedding toast, a commitment ceremony, a house warming, a Subaru co-signing, and/or a cat adoption, so she’d be happy to take you under her wing. Light snacks and beverages provided (so you’ll have something to do with your hands).

Bi the Mic: A Bi+ BIPOC Open Mic Night

There are not many rooms where bi+ BIPOC people get to take the mic without being sidelined or tokenized. But this is one of them. Bi the Mic is an open mic night centering bi+ BIPOC — Black, Indigenous, and people of color — storytellers, musicians, poets, comedians, and creatives of all kinds. Whether your work is tender, angry, funny, experimental, political, romantic, or somewhere in between, this space is for you. Performances are reserved for bi+ BIPOC artists. Spots to perform are limited. If you are a bi+ BIPOC artist, we strongly encourage you to sign up in advance to secure a slot. (Walk-ins may be possible if space allows.)
