Bassem Youssef

Bassem Youssef was the host of popular TV show Al Bernameg – the first political satire show in the Middle East. Originally a 5-minute show on YouTube, Al Bernameg became the first online-to-TV conversion in the Middle East and the most-watched show across the region with 30 million viewers every week, and over a million subscribers to its YouTube channel. In recognition of his success, Youssef was named among the Time Magazine most influential list for 2013 – under the “Pioneers” category, was awarded the International Press Freedom Award by the CPJ, and was chosen by Foreign Policy magazine as one of the global thinkers during the same year. Celtic Thunder

Seeing Irish musical phenomenon Celtic Thunder in person offers more than you might expect from a typical concert. The settings and showmanship are akin to a Broadway theatrical production, with a wealth of musical talent at the center of it. The five singers who make up Celtic Thunder are all enormously gifted vocalists, and their blend of Irish folk flavors with pop is a carefully concocted brew. But you get something extra when you see them live in concert. The elaborate stage visuals that accompany Celtic Thunder's performances are an essential part of the proceedings, leading the group to capture many past productions on CD and DVD. The combination of musicality and theatricality has made the group an international sensation since their start in the late 2000s. Every tour is a unique production unto itself: from 2008's The Show to 2012's Voyage, 2013's Mythology, and now their 2018 tour, X. Celtic Thunder Background The foresight of producer Sharon Browne first brought Celtic Thunder together. Browne’s vision combines the talents of five young, world-class Irish vocalists for a project that is as much about live performance as recordings, and creating a sound that keeps traditional Irish music at its core, while opening itself up to other influences—including contemporary pop/rock, spirituals, and holiday music. Ryan Kelly, Damian McGinty, Paul Byron, George Donaldson, and Keith Harkin made up the original quintet that formed in Ireland in 2007. On early albums like ‘Celtic Thunder: The Show’ and ‘Celtic Thunder: Act Two,’ they established an approach that appealed to a broad cross section of music fans, and they performed concerts that brought elaborate visuals and bold theatricality into the mix. Today only Kelly and McGinty remain from the original lineup, but Celtic Thunder continues to be an international sensation, and the group's peerless vocals and unbridled showmanship remain on point.

Cabaret Voltaire

Originally active between 1973-1994, Cabaret Voltaire featured Chris Watson until 1981 and Stephen Mallinder until 1994. The group were inactive for 20 years until - with Richard H Kirk as the sole remaining member - the 2014 performance at Berlin’s Atonal festival. An interconnected series of releases - Shadow of Fear, BN9Drone and Dekadrone - followed in 2020 and 2021 before Kirk’s untimely passing in autumn 2021. Mallinder and Watson have stated that there will be no new recordings under the name Cabaret Voltaire. In the current climate of social turmoil and political manipulation, the prescient work of Cabaret Voltaire continues to be necessary. The sounds, words, images and films of the band still resonate loudly, continuing to challenge the status quo. The events in 2025 and 2026 will curate this essential work and to acknowledge the timeless energy and to mark the continuing significance and power of what Cabaret Voltaire achieved. Original members Chris Watson and Stephen Mallinder are committed to stay true to the enduring vision of Cabaret Voltaire. The performance will cover the arc of their formidable output - from early experiments, and the first Rough Trade / Factory releases, through the band's Doublevision video label and into the work with renowned producers such as Adrian Sherwood and Marshall Jefferson. Stephen Mallinder explains, “The live set is built from scratch but faithful to the original tracks. Everything has been painstakingly reconstructed with the original technology and processes to build the tracks. But as with all Cabs live shows there is an element of unpredictable, the new. Chance meets causality.

Luna

Luna was a New York band formed in 1991 by singer/guitarist Dean Wareham after the breakup of Galaxie 500. The band made seven studio albums before disbanding in 2005. After a ten-year break, they reunited and toured in 2015, and in 2017 released a new LP — A Sentimental Education and an EP of instrumentals — A Place of Greater Safety. Other recent reissues include a deluxe 2xLP version of their classic Penthouse album (on Rhino) and another 2xLP set Lunafied that collects all the covers the band record-ed in the 1990s. Now scattered around the country (Los Angeles, New York and Austin) the band re-tains the same lineup that operated from 1999 to 2005: Dean Wareham on vo-cals/guitar, his wife Britta Phillips on bass, Sean Eden on guitar, and Lee Wall on drums.

She & Him: Pump Up The Volumes Tour

She &amp; Him feature the unlikely pairing of indie folk artist M. Ward and actress/singer/songwriter Zooey Deschanel. Drawing upon analog production techniques and a shared love of vintage pop bands, the duo emerged in 2008 with Volume One, a collection of songs that introduced Deschanel as a singer/songwriter in her own right. The like-minded Volume Two and Volume Three appeared in 2010 and 2013, respectively, buffered by a pair of whimsical holiday efforts. In 2022, the duo issued Melt Away: A Tribute to Brian Wilson, which saw them take on a set of Beach Boys and Wilson classics. While starring in the 2007 film The Go-Getter, Deschanel was asked by director Martin Hynes to perform a duet with Ward, who has agreed to helm the movie’s soundtrack. The two recorded a cover of Richard &amp; Linda Thompsons’ “When I Get To The Border” and later reconvened in Portland, Oregon where they began recording Deschanel’s original songs (which the actress had previously demoed for years, but kept secret) in Ward’s studio. Drawing upon analog production techniques and a shared love of vintage pop bands, the duo emerged with Volume One, a collection of songs that introduced Deschanel as a singer/songwriter in her own right. Released in March 2008 by Merge and Domino Recording Co, Volume One received support from a number of critics, with Paste Magazine even deeming it the year’s best album. The duo soon embarked on a summer-long tour, after which Deschanel and Ward began working on a second album. Volume Two arrived in early 2010, cracking the Billboard Top Ten during its first week and paving the way for another successful tour. Drawing inspiration from the classic holiday offering from the likes of The Carpenters, The Beach Boys, and Vince Guaraldi, Ward and Deschanel’s third outing under the moniker found the duo tackling their first collection of Christmas music. The resulting A Very She &amp; Him Christmas arrived in October 2011. The pair returned to making their breezy pop in 2013 with Volume 3, an album of summer pop that arrived in the spring of that year. In late 2014, the duo announced the release of a second covers album. Classicsfeatured works by legendary musicians such as Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis Costello. They followed that with another Christmas album, Christmas Party, in 2016. Still focusing on the 20th century holiday tunes, it included guest performances by The Chapin Sisters, Jenny Lewis, and Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth. 2022 saw the release of the covers LP Melt Away: A Tribute to Brian Wilson, which features Wilson-penned classics like “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Do it Again” and “Darlin.” 2025 saw a boost in the band’s profile as Deschanel’s very first song written for Volume One, “I Thought I Saw Your Face Today” became a spontaneous viral hit, introducing their music to a new generation of music fans.

PEACHES: No Lube So Rude Tour

An iconic feminist musician, producer, director, and performance artist, Peaches first catapulted to stardom with her “surreally funny [and] nasty” (Rolling Stone) 2000 debut, The Teaches of Peaches, which introduced the world to her sexually transgressive, fiercely assertive, and utterly captivating persona. Since then, Peaches has released four more trailblazing albums, won the prestigious Polaris Heritage Prize, collaborated with everyone from Iggy Pop and Daft Punk to Christina Aguilera and Yoko Ono, landed songs in cultural watermarks like Lost in Translation and The Handmaid’s Tale, and seen her work studied at universities around the world. &nbsp;In addition to her musical output, Peaches has directed over 20 videos, co-curated a photo book of her life, created a host of immersive installations and performative works, and penned the electro-rock opera Peaches Does Herself, which was adapted into a film shown at over 70 festivals. The subject of two acclaimed documentaries, Peaches has also played the title role in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Brecht’s The Seven Deadly Sins and continues to perform her widely lauded one-woman show, Peaches Christ Superstar. The Milk Carton Kids Fall Tour

On their seventh studio album,&nbsp;Lost Cause Lover Fool&nbsp;(due April 24 on Far Cry/Thirty Tigers), The Milk Carton Kids offer nine songs that, more than ever, invite listeners to lean in close and linger inside the small moments the record quietly magnifies.&nbsp; When Los Angeles–based singer-songwriters Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan first emerged in 2011, they did so with a sound as unassuming as their “marketing” plan. They recorded their ten-song debut,&nbsp;Prologue, with just their two guitars and two voices. They posted it online as a free download, sending the link to friends via email. Even amidst the foot stomps and hand claps carrying Folk into the mainstream, hundreds of thousands of people managed to find&nbsp;Prologue&nbsp;in that first year. From the beginning, The Milk Carton Kids were more interested in precision than volume.&nbsp;

Beginning on trumpet at age eight and switching to guitar at twelve, Metheny was performing with Kansas City’s top jazz musicians by fifteen—an early start that helped shape his unmistakable sound. After joining vibraphonist Gary Burton’s group in 1974, Metheny’s horn-like phrasing, lyrical touch, and rhythmic fluidity quickly distinguished him. His debut album,&nbsp;Bright Size Life&nbsp;(1975), redefined the possibilities of jazz guitar, introducing a new sonic openness and melodic clarity that inspired generations of players. With more than 20 million albums sold and 20 Grammy Awards in ten different categories—a record unmatched by any other artist—Metheny’s influence extends across genres and generations. His collaborations span from Steve Reich and Ornette Coleman to Herbie Hancock, Jim Hall, Milton Nascimento, and David Bowie. His compositions encompass everything from solo guitar works and orchestral pieces to the groundbreaking Orchestrion project. A dedicated educator, Metheny became the youngest instructor in the history of both the University of Miami and Berklee College of Music, where he later received an honorary doctorate. He is a member of the DownBeat Hall of Fame, a NEA Jazz Master, and an inductee of both the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and the Missouri Hall of Fame. In 2026, Metheny will embark on a world tour with his new ensemble Side-Eye III+, supporting the release of their self-titled album—the first on his new label, Uniquity Music, which will encompass all of his recordings since 1984 and all future projects.

Mahmoud Khalil: No Land to Stand On

Mahmoud Khalil is a Palestinian born in a refugee camp in Syria. He fled Assad’s Syria at the age of 18 and holds Algerian citizenship. He studied computer science at the Lebanese American University while working with Syrian refugees in Lebanon, then served as programs manager at the British Embassy in Beirut. He moved to the United States in 2022 to attend Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where he became a prominent figure during the student protests against the war on Gaza. Mahmoud lives in New York, where he continues to fight against the threat of deportation. No Land to Stand On is his first book.
