Garage Band 2026 – Music-Fest and Dance Party!

Come out for free, family-friendly fun at <a href="https://artsarlington.org/garage-band/">Garage Band 2026</a>, the <a href="https://arlingtonporchfest.org/">Arlington Porchfest</a> after-party. Somerville band Lunatic Neighbor will play a danceable mix of soul, R&amp;B, and pop music. Kid-friendly activities will include arts and crafts with Mystic Open Studio and a puppet show between sets with Margaret Moody Puppeteers. Join us Saturday, June 20 from 6 to 8 pm at Arlington Global Service Station, 334 Mass Ave (next to Walgreens). Rain date is Sunday, June 21. Free Go Fish! Painting Workshop at Roasted Granola Café

<a href="https://artsarlington.org/">ArtsArlington</a>&nbsp;invites you to express your creativity, have fun, and contribute to "Go Fish!", a new town-wide project. Free and fun for all ages. Come paint a "fish" with us! All supplies provided, and all ages welcome. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Join us on Sunday, April 26 at Roasted Granola Café, 1346 Mass Avenue, Arlington Heights. The Road Where It Happened: Revolution Comes to Menotomy

This free exhibit, part of Arlington’s 250th commemoration of the American Revolution, examines the landscape and people of Menotomy and their role in the founding of America.&nbsp; Battle Road was the route traversed by some 2,000 British regulars marching to Concord and back again&nbsp;on April 19, 1775, sparking the start of the American Revolution. More than 3,000 colonists from&nbsp;Menotomy and nearby towns also gathered along the road to fight for independence. Learn how prehistoric geological forces created the landscape of Menotomy and&nbsp;how the narrow corridor of Battle Road between steep hillsides at the Foot of the Rocks in Arlington Heights influenced the outcome of the American Revolution. The exhibit also&nbsp;identifies people of Menotomy who played a role on that&nbsp;critical day of April 19, 1775.&nbsp; The exhibit includes an interactive gallery for families, as well as two related exhibits: works&nbsp;from "No Place Like Home" by Paul Beckingham, Bonita LeFlore, and Kayla Myers; and historic information panels prepared by Arlington’s 250 Committee. Open Tuesdays and Saturdays 10am - 4pm. The last tour of the day is available at 3 pm.

Painting the Town 250 – Curator’s Talk and Reception

The Painting the Town exhibit, on display April 1 through May 31, highlights diverse public art projects installed around Arlington as part of the 250th commemoration of the American Revolution.&nbsp; On Tuesday, May 27, join Public Arts Curator Cecily Miller for a discussion of the challenges, complexities and rewards of developing public artworks for Arlington 250. Some of these artworks featured at the Mill include silkscreen banners for display on light poles along Mass Ave., painted horses and utility boxes, sculptural pedestals, and a timeline project connecting past and present.&nbsp; Note this exhibition runs in conjunction with “The Road Where It Happened: Revolution Comes to Menotomy,” which&nbsp;examines the landscape and people of Menotomy and their role in the founding of America.
