Peace Play on the Beach

Come together for a day of healing, creativity, and community at the beach. Peace Play on the Beach is a free event designed to support individuals and families impacted by stress, trauma, or community violence. Enjoy a range of therapeutic arts activities—including visual arts and sand tray therapy—led by compassionate emotional support workers. For tarot readers of all levels - beginners welcome. We will meet to discuss and reflect on our personal tarot practice, then create art together inspired by tarot. The intention of this event is to learn about tarot with others, practice readings, and engage in the creative process together! The theme for this workshop will be The Fool's Journey where we will explore the Major Arcana cards and the story behind the flow of cards from The Fool card to The World card. Art supplies will be available for attendees. Please bring your tarot deck(s) or other relevant resources to use and share with others if you can! Vinyl Record Painting

Join me in creating a unique and colorful art piece that can be displayed in your home or given as a gift. A collection of vinyl records will be available for guests to choose from at the start of the workshop. We will be using acrylic paint and collage materials to decorate the records, then adding a sealing spray. Please select the "multiple" edition of the ticket if you would like to paint more than one vinyl record. We will be in the community room at The Goods, which is a cannabis dispensary in Somerville, MA so this event is for AGES 21+

Art Workshop: Blessing Sticks

In this 2 hour workshop, you will create a unique and meaningful blessing stick that can be hung as wall décor, pushed into the soil of flower pots, or given as a gift. A blessing stick can be centered on different themes, invoking a particular goal, blessing, or manifestation. Some examples include mental clarity and enlightenment, creativity, fertility, love, fortune and abundance, protection, strength, and gratitude. Different shapes and textures of tree bark can influence each unique design, which are then beaded by hand with wire, beads, milagro charms, and bells.
