Join us for Farm Days, September 19th and 20th Celebrate the beauty of autumn with our annual Fall Celebration: Farm Days at Appleton Farms—a seasonal tradition filled with farm fun, crisp air, and colorful countryside views. Spend the day exploring all that fall has to offer on one of the oldest working farms in the country. Whether you’re looking to visit the barnyard animals, listen to live music, wander scenic trails, play games, visit the farm machines or savor farm-fresh treats, there’s something for everyone in the heart of the harvest season. Be sure to grab our incredible wood-fired pizza and baked goods handcrafted from the Appleton Culinary Team. DownRiver Ice Cream, The Lobster Roller, True North Ales &amp; Notch Brewing will also be on site all weekend! Father's Day Pizza & BBQ Bash at Appleton Farms

Bring Dad to Appleton Farms on the Saturday of Father’s Day weekend for our own seasonal wood-fired pizza, local beer, wine and cider, local BBQ, and live music! Appleton will be slinging their famous pies which are not to be missed! We’ll have Notch Brewing on-site serving up some beer, wine, and cider, with barbecue from Fat Belly Food Truck and sweet treats from DownRiver Ice Cream. Enjoy music from Orville Giddings and Gravity Rising. Orville Giddings will take the stage from 12:30-2:30, and Gravity Rising from 3:00-5:00. Please select either 12pm, 1pm or 2:30pm for your timed-ticket entrance fee. Tickets are by the car – $20 for Trustees Members and $30 for nonmembers. Carpooling is encouraged! The cost will cover parking and access to this special event, including the concert and games. Food, hayrides and beer must be purchased separately and are available only at the event. Space is limited and pre-registration is strongly suggested. This event is known to sell out! Limited seating is available. We recommend bringing blankets or camping chairs. You may be required to walk several minutes to get to the event from overflow parking through our crop-field paths or dirt roads. Questions? Maple Strolls at Appleton Farms

Sessions start at: 11, 12:15 &amp; 1:30 Trustees Members $15/Nonmembers $25 Visit the historic maple stand and sugar shack at Appleton Farms and learn all about maple sugaring, its history at the farm and in New England, and how you can try your hand at it at home! Experience a leisurely stroll along our country farm roads and past several historic landscapes to our Appleton maple grove. You’ll learn some of the history of maple sugaring as well as the science behind what makes maple sap run in our trees. The stroll concludes with a visit to our sugar shack where you will see firsthand how we turn the collected sap into our delicious Appleton maple syrup! Be sure to wear weather appropriate clothing and boots or shoes that are appropriate for hiking in potentially wet and muddy spots or over uneven hilly terrain. All Maple Strolls are weather permitting and will last approximately 1 hour, walking much of that time. We welcome all ages; however, information is geared towards those 10 and up. Have smaller kids? Check out our family geared maple programming, <a href="https://thetrustees.org/things-to-do/?_event_related_place=1854">Maple in the Barnyard</a>! Space is limited for this event and pre-registration is strongly recommended. The Farm Store is open 10am-4pm where you can buy our very own syrup and maple goodies. Make sure to stop by!

This special program for ages 3-11 &amp; their families will focus on the magic of maple from start to finish. We will discover this tradition by observing trees, tasting sap, learning the tools involved, and finally, tasting the sweet product. We will make sure to have time to visit our barnyard animals! This program is for families and will last approximately 45 minutes. Please dress for the weather as the program is held outdoors. Children over 12 may be better suited for our Adult Maple Strolls as the information at Maple in the Barnyard is geared towards a younger audience, however, all are welcome. Looking for a more adult tour? Sign up for our <a href="https://thetrustees.org/things-to-do/?_event_related_place=1854">Adult Maple Stroll</a> instead! Maple Season is here! This special program for ages 3 – 11 for families and will focus on the magic of maple from start to finish. Natural Wreath Making Workshop

Decorate your door with a gorgeous holiday wreath, created from a variety of textural evergreen boughs all foraged from our historic farm property! Join us in our historic barn where we will demonstrate a simple technique for making your wreath. You will then have the opportunity to make your wreath and decorating it with a variety of natural materials such as berries, pine cones, and dried forage. We will provide a 12” wreath frame, wire, evergreens, decorating materials, garden shears and work gloves. Recommended for ages 13+, pre-registration is required. Event dates are Saturday, December 9 and Sunday December 10, with three sessions per day: 10:00-11:30 am; 12:00-1:30 pm; 2:00-3:30 pm. After your day of crafting, stop by our Holiday Market (12/9) in the Carriage Barn and grab a pizza from our wood-fired oven to warm up.
