2025 Island of Misfit Animals

The Island of Misfit Animals: Christmas Fundraiser is Back! Join us for The Island Of Misfit Animals 2025. Returning this year, will be our most lovable “misfits” and some of their new friends! Fri, Sat, &amp; Sun nights November 28 – December 28, 2025. Open from 5:30-8 PM, animal shows will be offered at 6:30, where we will showcase the odd balls and make them feel a little extra special this year. Then explore the zoo, lit with Christmas and Holiday lights and encounter all of the other rescued animals. Petting is allowed and we will have zookeepers available to introduce you to more of our “misfit” friends. Forget all the light the night walk arounds and drive throughs, come visit Animal Adventures’ Island of Misfit Animals! All proceeds go to help us through the winter! Who will be this year’s special guest? Stay tuned to find out!

Animal Adventures Family Zoo & Rescue Center

Owl Handling Class

Come and learn about all of the owls of Animal Adventures and even learn how to hold one. You will learn about our Eurasian Eagle Owls, Great Horned, Barred Owls and now our Spectacled Owl Mothra! Holding will be done with Petra the Eagle Owl, or Mothra! These classes are very limited on space, and spots are first come, first serve. The Owl Handling Class experience is about 1.5 hours long. Classes run on various Sundays from October to April.

Fox Class

Come and learn all about the many foxes of Animal Adventures: Red, Pearl, and Arctic Foxes; Fennec Fox and Pale Fox! Also meet Rafiki the Gray Fox we rescued from the fur trade. You will also get to meet our baby fennec fox! Hands on experiences with the Fennec and Pale Foxes. $50 per person or come in a group of 4 for $175. Advanced purchase only on our website. Due to safety reasons, we cannot allow any unaccompanied minors. All people under 18 must have a paid parent/guardian with them. Note: not all foxes will be able to be touched. Some foxes can be pet in accordance with state and federal laws. All touching is at the discretion of the zoo staff.

Adult Zoology Class

Join Animal Adventures for their next 4 week Adult Zoology Course beginning March 6, 2025. This class starts on 3/6 and runs for 4 Thursdays in a row. This course is for adults only, so 18+ No alcohol for obvious reasons... Alcohol and animals do not mix, sorry! Space is limited, check the website for more details and to register. Come to Animal Adventures in Bolton, Ma throughout February Vacation week! Open daily from 10am to 5pm, we offer general admission which includes daily live animal presentations at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. We also offer interactive tours and animal encounters. Teen Zoology Class

Join Dr. Ed Laquidara for a 4 week class all about animals for teenagers! This fun and exciting class will teach your teen all they need to know about our animals with hands on instructions, and applicable real world experience. Open to teens from age 13-18 who are still in middle/high school and have a passion to learn about exotic animals. Our next 4 week course starts October 7th at 6pm and runs for 4 Mondays in a row! For a limited time it is just $100 for the entire 4 week course!

Monster Meet & Treat 2024

Monster Meet and Treat 2024! Come to Animal Adventures during our regular business hours October 26-27 and come dressed in your Halloween costume(bonus points for animal costumes) Trick or Treating around the rescue center, free candy... MONSTER animal presentations at 11, 1 and 3 o'clock featuring some gnarly animals you wouldn't see at a normal daily show. Cost of admission is the same as General Admission ages 4+ is $16 and toddlers 2-3 years old are $7! Under 2 is FREE.
