The Listening Room: Nurture the Seed with Christopher Carlos Montejo y Los Mambiseros

Every root begins somewhere. Las Tres Matanceras traces three generations of Cuban women through Cuban musical tradition, free jazz, and archival video--a sonic family portrait honoring the seeds of intergenerational motherhood, immigration, and diaspora that make us who we are. Composer and bandleader Christopher Carlos Montejo leads his ensemble Los Mambiseros through a performance arc rooted in ancestral memory, presented as part of The Listening Room, an intimate performance series hosted at The Substation in collaboration with Citixen Joy. At this event, you'll also get first access to Mob--a Boston-based app that matches you with people who actually get you. Come for the connection, stay for the vibe.
