The Lawrence P. Cohen Memorial Scholarship Foundation Hosts 2nd Annual Rocking the Cause Fundraiser

The Lawrence P. Cohen Memorial Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting students who have persevered through significant challenges, will host its 2nd Annual Rocking the Cause fundraiser on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 6:30–10:30 p.m. at The Cape Club of Sharon. The annual fundraiser will bring together friends, families, community members, and supporters for an evening of live music, food and drinks, auctions, raffles, and philanthropy. Proceeds will support the Foundation’s scholarship program, which provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated extraordinary resilience in the face of adversity. Founded in memory of Lawrence “Larry” P. Cohen, the Foundation carries on his commitment to perseverance, education, and compassion by awarding scholarships to students pursuing higher education. The Foundation awards two scholarships annually: one to a student with a diagnosed learning difference supported by an Individualized Education Program (IEP), and another to a pediatric cancer survivor attending a four-year college. The Foundation’s 2026 inaugural scholarship recipients, Kalynn Souza and Issac Dahn, will be in attendance and honored during this year’s event. For information about attending, donating, contributing an auction item, or supporting the event, contact the Lawrence P. Cohen Memorial Scholarship Foundation at 617-460-5600 or info@lpcohenfoundation.org. More information is available at lpcohenfoundation.org.
