Sunday morning meditation: the courage to care

This world needs more peace. We can all be a part of bringing this about by becoming a more peaceful person.&nbsp;An essential part of being able to benefit others is becoming stronger ourselves and creating more balance in our life. This Sunday morning meditation class will look at Buddha’s teachings on patience and on the practice of loving kindness.&nbsp; Each week will include: <ul><li>guided breathing meditation&nbsp;</li><li>a short teaching on how to access more inner calm and kindness&nbsp;</li><li>a practice of some short chanted prayers in English called Prayers for World Peace</li><li>a concluding contemplative time</li></ul>The Courage to Care March 1: The Power of Humility Finding strength in letting go of self-importance March 8: Exchanging Self with Others Shifting from self-focus to genuine care March 15: How to Access More Compassion Opening the heart to suffering of our own and others’ March 22: Transforming Adverse Conditions Turning life’s challenges into inner growth March 29: Offering Victory to Others Choosing kindness over the need to be right Location: This event will be held at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston, located at&nbsp;2298 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge, just a few blocks from the Davis Square T stop. There is free street parking on Sundays. Gen Kelsang Khedrub is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston.&nbsp;He has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism under the guidance of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 30 years. Gen Khedrub has served as a Resident Teacher in Chicago and in Seattle, and over the years he has taught special events and led meditation retreats around the country. His heartfelt teachings are presented with clarity and humor that make them accessible to everyone.
