Join us for a CREATURE DOUBLE-FEATURE movie night at The Substation. There will be a costume contest with prizes, so get dressed up!<ul><li>4:30 pm: Doors open for family movie</li><li>5:00 pm: Hocus Pocus begins</li><li>7:00 pm: Doors open for adults-only movie</li><li>7:30 pm: The Thing begins</li></ul>Hocus Pocus is a 1993 fantasy horror film. It follows a villainous comedic trio of witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy) on an Halloween adventure in Salem, Massachusetts. Rated PG. The Thing is a 1982 science fiction horror film directed by John Carpenter. A group of American researchers in Antarctica encounter an extraterrestrial life-form that assimilates, then imitates, other organisms. The group is overcome by paranoia and conflict as they learn that they can no longer trust each other and that any of them could be The Thing. Rated R. BRING YOUR OWN lawn chairs, cushions, blankets, or perch on one of our benches. This event is brought to you FREE through a generous financial contribution from <a href="https://www.thebostonhometeam.com/">The Boston Home Team</a>. Donations are optional at the door. Beer, wine, and snacks will be available for purchase. For the adults, the Substation bar is open! Tickets are limited, so please, if you cannot attend after purchasing tickets, cancel them on eventbrite so that others may have a chance to attend this FREE screening. (Don't acquire free tickets and then not show up to the event!)
