OnStage Dance Company Season 23 Choreographer Auditions

OnStage Dance Company is accepting applications for experienced and emerging choreographers to create new work for our Season 23 Performance. ​Pieces can be performed live for the stage, or site-specific dance for film. <ul><li>​Live Performance: Selected dances will be performed at our Season 23 Performance at the Boston University Dance Theater. </li><li>Filmed Project: Selected dances, created for "site specific" locations and choreographed for film, will be filmed during the season and screened during our live performance.</li></ul> We are open to all dance styles. Our performances feature a wide range including Jazz, Modern, Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theater and Pop. Past seasons have also included work in Hip Hop, Poi, Step, Hoop, Bollywood, and Latin styles. If the style is outside of our audition rubric, casting will be determined by the director, in consultation with the choreographer. What should I prepare for my Choreographer Audition? <ul><li>Audition slots will be approximately 15-20 minutes.</li><li>You will be asked to perform 45-60 seconds of choreography at the audition.</li><li>​Be prepared to answer questions </li></ul> Locations: ​Friday, September 23 from 5:00 - 6:00 PM &amp; 8:00 - 9:00 PM in SOMERVILLE <ul><li>Art Assembled, 495 Artisan Way in Somerville</li></ul>Saturday, September 24 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM in SOMERVILLE <ul><li>Armory, 191 Highland Ave (3rd Floor) in Somerville</li><li>Tap or Heeled shoes are NOT allowed at this location.</li></ul>Sunday, September 25 from 4:30 - 6:30 PM in MALDEN <ul><li>Paula Terenzi, 101 Pleasant Street in Malden</li></ul>
