Monster Mash Poetry Slam

In this extra special week of open mic poetry, we will be cutting round 2 to host our first ever... Monster Mash Slam! Contestants will be competing with various monster poems for a prize (poems must be on theme!) Sign-ups for the slam will open at 6:30pm. Slots will be first come first serve. All contestants should have 3 monster poems prepared (Keep in mind that they might not all be performed. All 3 rounds will be competing to get onto the next!) The open mic will be 7pm-8pm and the slam will be going from 8:15pm-9:30pm. (Note: If you compete in the slam, you will not be given a slot at the open mic). We invite you to bring your own works and perform them in front of a supportive crowd. There's no better place to find your voice and share it with the world! <br>The sign-up list opens at 6:30 pm in the upstairs cafe and the mic opens at 7:00pm.<ul><li>Seating is first come, first served! </li><li>Each open mic slot gets you about three minutes of stage time.</li><li>No need to memorize your work - just be comfortable and have fun!</li><li>If you read someone else’s work, give credit where due. </li><li>Above all, show kindness to all.
