Four Foundations of Mindfulness: Four Evenings in Back Bay With Gen Khedrub and Leela Dodda Buddha’s timeless teachings on the Four Close Placements of Mindfulness—of body, feelings, mind, and phenomena—guide us toward a more peaceful, grounded, and aware way of being. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel scattered, anxious, or trapped in unhelpful mental loops. In this special four-part series, we’ll explore practical methods for training the mind both in and out of meditation—learning to live with more balance, clarity, and compassion. Each evening will include a talk, guided meditation, and time for discussion. You can register for an evening you wish, it is not necessary to make all four evenings. Everyone is welcome.  Schedule: 🧘‍♂️ Tuesday, September 23 — Presence 7:00-8:00pm Mindfulness of the Body with Gen Khedrub 💛 Tuesday, October 28 — Potential 7:00-8:00pm Mindfulness of the Mind with Leela Dodda 🌊 Tuesday, November 11 — Flow 7:00-8:00pm Mindfulness of Feeling with Gen Khedrub 🦉 Tuesday, December 9 — Wisdom ﻿7:00-8:00pm Mindfulness of Phenomena with Gen Khedrub Location: Church of the Covenant, 67 Newbury Street Cost: $15 per class / free for members Gen Kelsang Khedrub is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston. He has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism under the guidance of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 30 years. Gen Khedrub has served as a Resident Teacher in Chicago and in Seattle, and over the years he has taught special events and led meditation retreats around the country. His heartfelt teachings are presented with clarity and humor that make them accessible to everyone.  Leela Dodda was born in India. After completing his doctoral studies at Yale, he established himself as a drug discovery scientist in Boston, where he works to develop breakthrough therapies that can transform patients' lives. This dedication to alleviating suffering through science naturally complements Leela's deep interest in Buddhist philosophy. His unique perspective, combining rigorous scientific inquiry with contemplative wisdom, drives him to pursue a twofold mission: advancing medical treatments while sharing insights about achieving lasting happiness.
