Introduction to Embroidery

In this two-day workshop, students will learn&nbsp;a variety of stitches and decorative embroidery techniques. Participants will learn how to add&nbsp;images, textures, and dimension to a flat piece of fabric. Students will then&nbsp;create an artwork based on imagery that inspires them, or in the abstract, using these new embroidery techniques.&nbsp; Students will leave with their artwork and a portable stitch sampler, spanning from chain stitches, looped stitches, french knots, pistils, couching, satin stitch, cretan stitch, etc.,&nbsp;that can be applied to future projects. Adults and Teens (ages 13+) are welcome to sign up for this course.
