Decorative Handbuilt Clay

Learn how to build pinch pots, coil pots, fist pots, and slab pots in this adult class. Learn&nbsp;how to create sculptural vessels using the technique of your choice. You will learn how clay responds to&nbsp;touch and movements and how to manipulate clay to widen, lengthen, thin, and thicken. We will also explore&nbsp;how to use objects as molds to create&nbsp;vessels. Students will walk away with a variety of small pots with different hand-building techniques.&nbsp;<br><br>This class uses self-hardening clay that behaves like kiln-fired clay when worked. The pieces created in class will not be waterproof nor food-safe. Pieces can be painted with acrylic and other paints.<br>
