Looking for a way to get involved with the art scene! Are there any places that offer arts and crafts nights? Preferably a place that isn’t $70+ per class?
I love the museums and galleries but I also want a way to make my own art while meeting other artists! Maybe one of the colleges has an art center that’s open to the public? Or something similar?

Art in Progress Party
These are perfect! They’re free regular events hosted by Zone3 on Western Ave. Bring any materials or projects you’re working with (or want to try) and hang out with other artists all working on their own thing. Each week they have a few specialists on site to assist with different media.

Brookline Art Center
They have open studios that are a lot cheaper than a structured class in all different types of art - ceramics, jewelry design, etc. Passes are between 25-35 depending on what you are making and they have techs in each studio.

FREE workshop: Introduction to Macramé at Boston Landing (4/24)
I saw that Boston Landing hosts a lot of these free workshops (different themes each time) where you can meet like-minded people and work on your own art work or start a new one!

Make with MAAM: Imagining Futures
Highly suggest any special events at MassArt Museum. They are usually free and the museum is very community oriented 🎨
