FREE Trans & Queer Yoga Cambridge 

FREE Trans &amp; Queer Yoga Welcome to our inclusive yoga event specifically designed for the trans and queer community! This practice will be open to all who identify as part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and be an open level trauma informed Asana (movement) practice with an emphasis on choice and finding movement that feels available. This class will end with community time to recenter and connect about the many dynamics and intersections of Queerness. WHEN: Sunday, September 15th., at 10 am to 11:15 am WHERE: Cambridge, Exact address provided upon registration PRICE: FREE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED About the Teacher: Sophie Lyons (she/her/hers) is a Boston based, Queer woman that specializes in offering trauma informed yoga classes. She is passionate about bringing together the LGBTQIA2S+ community through the practice of yoga and creating brave spaces for folks to explore agency in their bodies. Sophie is an 800hr certified Yoga teacher with over a thousand hours of teaching experience. She is trained as a 200hr<a href="https://kripalu.org/"> Kripalu Vinyasa Teacher</a>, a 300hr<a href="https://www.traumasensitiveyoga.com/"> Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga</a> Facilitator (TCTSY-F), and a 300hr<a href="https://www.ignitebewell.com/"> Ignite Yoga &amp; Wellness Institute Instructor</a>. Sophie is also a Level II Reiki Healer,<a href="https://traumaconsciousyoga.com/"> Trauma-Conscious Yoga</a> Guide (TCYM) and an experienced regular yoga teacher (E-RYT) . She graduated from<a href="https://lesley.edu/"> Lesley Universit</a>y with a BA in Holistic Psychology and Wellness, specializing in yoga therapy; trauma, eating disorder recovery, and addiction. Sophie is currently working towards her Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from William James College, specializing in LGBTQIA2S+ Mental Health.
