The JOY Party

JOY is a monthly community celebration of dance music hosted by Roundhead Brewery (September - June) where people gather to dance and enjoy good food and drinks together: Cerveza Que Reúne. Residents Jenene &amp; Jesse C (JC2) play deep, afro, latin, jazzy, classic, soul, underground house grooves in the spacious community room along with featured guest Sav ThaiSoul. JOY is a family-friendly, intergenerational, intersectional, community event. Anyone under the age of 21 must be accompanied at all times by an adult family member. Disrespect or discrimination is not tolerated. We dance with the music to be free and embrace joy. JOY also collaborates with artists and healers sharing their craft with the community each month. In September, we welcome student artists and Lift As We Climb, selling prints to raise funds for BPS art classroom materials. Roundhead serves a variety of brews made onsite, empanadas by Chiqui's Kitchen, pizza and much more. It is located nestled in the back of the Westinghouse industrial building complex in Hyde Park. This event is free with plenty of parking.
