ChopValue Microfactory Tour, Free Sushi, and Panel Discussion
Thu, Nov 02, 2023 at 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
This #circularcitiesweek session is in person. Circular Cities Week is free and open to the public.
Come take a look behind the scenes of a local circular economy enterprise and step onto the microfactory floor. Elaine Chow, founder and CEO of ChopValue Boston, will take you on an exclusive tour and demonstrate the manufacturing process that ChopValue uses to upcycle discarded chopsticks into furniture, architectural features, and household products. Witness local circular entrepreneurship looks in action and get inspiration for new ways of making, purchasing, and cycling materials. After the tour, enjoy free sushi and a dynamic discussion on how we can drive more local circular economy projects by building a robust, sustainable, and circular procurement ecosystem. Panelists will talk about opportunities in circular manufacturing, sustainable purchasing, and how to transform institutional and individual consumption patterns.
