Summer Concerts at Longfellow House 

Enjoy a concert at Longfellow House on select Sundays throughout the summer. Home to 19th century poet, Henry W. Longfellow, and headquarters for General George Washington during the Siege of Boston, July 1775–April 1776, the Longfellow House bore witness to many significant events. The first use in the United States of anesthesia for childbirth was administered to Fanny Longfellow at the house. Famous literary figures such as Charles Dickens and Nathaniel Hawthorne were visitors, as were politicians, actors, musicians, and others. Hear Berklee artists continuing on this artistic tradition on select Sundays 3:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. in July and August&nbsp;at Longfellow House–Washington's Headquarters National Historic Site.&nbsp; Schedule (Sundays): <ul><li>6/15: Finesse</li><li>7/13: Yu Chun Chan</li><li>8/17: Bedroom Blindness</li><li>8/24: Luke Walker</li></ul>About: This summer, students, faculty, and alumni from Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee will perform free concerts at some of the most notable outdoor venues throughout Boston and the Greater Boston area as part of the Berklee Summer in the City concert series. &nbsp;&nbsp; The series will present a variety of musical genres, including jazz, R&amp;B, world, pop, folk, and classical. &nbsp; In addition to performers, this series provides opportunities for Berklee students to learn and work in artist booking, live sound engineering, project management, and street team organization.
