Spreadsheets for Socialism (In-Person Training)

Learn basic and advanced skills in Google Sheets and how to apply them to your organizing at this free, in-person training! We'll provide demos for the group, pausing for questions and practice activities to test what you've learned. At the end, participants will be given the final project: A spreadsheet (DSA organizing themed!) to transform using the skills they've learned. RSVP IS REQUIRED: <a href="https://bdsa.us/spreadsheets-for-socialism">bdsa.us/spreadsheets-for-socialism</a> Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops &amp; charging cords if possible, however there will be a few BPL laptop and desktop computers available. <ul><li>Managing data (arrange, sort, filter)</li><li>Formatting (colors, borders, alignment, number formats)</li><li>Basic functions (=SUM, =AVERAGE)</li><li>Tables (smart chips, table references, pivot tables)</li><li>Charts</li><li>Data validation (dropdowns, date entry restrictions)</li><li>Advanced functions (=IF, =COUNT, etc.)</li><li>Conditional formatting</li><li>Miscellaneous (named ranges, absolute references, themes)</li></ul>
