Screen-Free Salon — Collage a Dream Journal

Collage, reflection, and a little dreaming for the year ahead. Instructor: Hannah Emmert As the year draws to a close, step away from the scroll and spend an evening imagining what comes next. We’ll transform the cover of a beautiful, high-quality journal into a tactile vision board using collage, images, words, textures, and whatever else speaks to you. Along the way, we’ll slow down for guided reflection and journaling inspired by the Winter Solstice and the quiet invitation of a new year. Your finished cover will be sealed with a durable coating so your vision can travel with you throughout the months ahead. You’ll leave with your new journal, a set of prompts for the days between the Solstice and New Year’s Eve, and a vision for what your next year may bring. Agenda/Topics Covered

Introduction to collage and composition

Sealing and finishing your journal cover

Closing reflection + take-home New Year’s journaling challenge

Special Instructions All materials will be provided, including a high-quality journal. You are welcome to bring personal photographs, magazine clippings, handwritten notes, or other small paper objects you’d like to incorporate into your collage. The workshop takes place after the winter market, so you’re welcome to browse the open studios beforehand.
