Pottery + Watercolor: Custom Illustrated Platters

Join local artists Kaitlyn Ripaldi and Amanda Bentley at The Shared Palette for a guided workshop combining watercolor painting techniques with underglaze ceramic painting. You'll receive a hand-made ceramic platter with a custom, pre-drawn scene on it, and learn how to paint it in underglaze using a watercolor style. We'll supply all the materials you need and guidance on how to finish the painting project. Ideas for scenes include: pets, apartments, fruits and veggies, plants, etc. Note that you'll be tracing the illustration in paint so simpler designs work best for this! Attendees will submit the photo of the scene they'd like to paint to kaitlyn@yellowleafdesign.com at least four days prior to the event for it to be pre-drawn. Class is suitable for adults and teens of all skill levels. Grab some food and drinks from around Bow Market, and let your creativity flow! Can't make the class? Book time during our Open Studio hours to work on one of our ready-to-paint pottery kits at your own pace. Visit www.thesharedpalette.com for more.
