Philosophy of Hope: A celebration of World Philosophy Day 2025

You may be familiar with the story of Pandora and her box. When she opened it, all manner of human suffering was released. But there was a vestige of something that remained.. hope. And such is our present predicament. This has always been the human condition. Politics seeks to change the world to relieve this condition. Religion seeks to deliver us from it. But philosophy teaches us that while we must live in the world, we are not of this world. Philosophy teaches us that if we truly want to change the world, we must start with ourselves - and for that, we must have Hope. Let’s create space for hope with this community event in celebration of World Philosophy Day. Come meet fellow-minded Idealists in this interactive event, with plenty of room for discussion. Get ready to encounter a new perspective on Hope: the essential ingredient for change. Light refreshments will follow. HOPEfully you will truly enjoy this event :)
