Friday, January 30 7-9pm •&nbsp;<a href="https://downunderyoga.com/newton-yoga-schedule">Newton</a> This isn’t your average book club - it’s a mindful gathering that nourishes body, mind, and spirit, inviting reflection, connection, and movement. Begin the new year by embracing fresh goals, inspiration, and community. Join Shawna Lemelman and Yvonne Castaneda for a unique experience exploring Yvonne's book,&nbsp;Pork Belly Tacos with a Side of Anxiety. Yvonne, a familiar presence in Shawna’s classes at Down Under Yoga, shares vibrant stories of her childhood growing up in Miami as the daughter of humble immigrants from Mexico and Cuba. Through her candid narrative, she reveals how doubt and low self-esteem led to a challenging cycle of weight gain and loss, reliance on dangerous coping mechanisms, and a fraught relationship with food. The evening begins with a discussion of the book’s rich themes, inviting participants to reflect and connect. That conversation will then flow into a mindful heated yoga practice, designed to help you embody and process the material, fostering awareness in both body and mind. Books are available for purchase on Amazon, Barnes &amp; Noble, or at the event.
